  1. Posted Today, 08:39 PM I found a good jacking point on the inside of the rocker seam, behind the front wheelwell. You can see a gap in the felt cladding and an oval hole in the rocker panel. It will lift both front and rear tires off the ground. It's good and solid. I've put it on jack stands at these points, using blocks of wood to spread the load.
  2. So as we head into fall, I'm thinking about the dreaded drop in FE with colder weather. I notice the talk of grill covers. But I thought the C-Max comes with automatic radiator shutters that give pretty full coverage and don't open until the ICE is at operating temp. So what is the added benefit to external grill covers? Thanks, George
  3. Hi folks! We are enjoying the C-Max after 3 months and already over 4000 miles. I've noticed that the average mpg for the tank tends to run a couple of mpg above what I calculate after filling the tank. For example, on the last tank the computer indicated 46 mpg, our highest so far, but when I filled up it calculated to 43 mpg. Anyone else see this? Thanks!
  4. Hi folks! Just bought a 2014 Ice Storm SE last weekend. We are having a good time getting to know the car, our first hybrid. Great to find this forum. During 9 years of owning a good ol' Mazda MPV minivan, I found lots of helpful info on the MPV Owner Club website, so I was excited to find such an active forum for the C-Max. I'm a big DIYer. Only problem so far is my wife is finding it hard to get comfortable in the driver's seat. I posted on it in the Interior section. Cheers!
  5. We just purchased a 2014 SE and my wife is finding it hard to get comfortable in the driver's seat. The problem for her is that she feels the front seat edge pushing into the back of her knee. She is 5' 6," so not particularly short. Seems like this seat is longer than average. We will continue to play with the adjustments, but it occurred to me that a lumbar pad would push her forward just a bit and maybe solve this problem. Anyone either had this problem or used a good lumbar cushion they would recommend? Thanks!
