  1. My C-Max has just over 2000 miles on it. December was the month we brought it home, our first tank was 35 mpg or so, second tank was a little lower, about 34 mpg. Those tanks were used when the temps were in the high 20's to low 30's. Then, the next tank was 39 mpg. Temps were in the 40's. This tank, everyday I am in the 50's on the trips back and forth to work. Temps are in the upper 40's to low 50's. I think this tank will average high 40's to 50 mpg. I love this car!
  2. Paul, I tried to contact you about your grill covers via e-mail, but have not heard back from you. Do you have any left? If so, I am interested in a set. I can't contact you via instant message, but can't because I guess I don't have enough posts. If you do, could you please contact me at kmarugg@me.com. Thank you, Kevin
  3. I took my C-Max in because the right front door was not in alignment with the front fender, took them less than 30 minutes to repair. I also have a 2011 Ford Ranger that the doors did not fit correctly, I had those adjusted also. I found it interesting that when I called the selling dealership for the Ranger, they told me they would need to contact a Ford rep, and the rep would need to come out to look at my truck and determine if a adjustment was needed. I called bs on that and called another dealership. They told me to come down and they would take a peek at it. Before I knew it, they had all the doors adjusted, no charge even though they were not the selling dealership. Guess who got the sell on the new C-Max and all my future service work! I recommend finding a good dealership and building a relationship with them. But, remember, a relationship is a two way street. If you find a good dealership, reward them with your future service work and other business.
  4. Hang in there. With every tank of fuel, I gain about 5 mpg. I am not sure if the car is breaking in, I am changing my driving habits, or a combination of both, but it gets better every tank of gas. It's kind of weird, but it is not uncommon for me to be able to stay in ev mode 10 to 15 miles of my 20 mile commute. When I first got it, I could only stay in ev mode when coasting down hills. Again, I am not sure what has changed, but something has. Try to drive in empower mode, it will help you a lot.
  5. New C-Max from Oregon here. We got our car about 3 weeks ago, 700 mile latter we like it. Looking forward to learing more about our car here on this site.
