Just going on 2 weeks on my 2014 Energi, so far no problems and I'm loving the car still.

I'll have to make a run to Walmart.

How does your state stack up in the gasoline tax ranking?
Kunari replied to Jus-A-CMax's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
I wouldn't be surprised to see GPS tracking pass soon in the super majority conservative legislative & governor of my state of Utah. -
Thanks for the reminder not the trust the dealer to check your tire pressure. I've got my Max in there today to get the splash-guards installed --I had the dealer include them *installed* as part of my purchase.

Spring loaded sun shade and easy to stow?! Where did you get it? I've got a fold up one that's a pain to stow as it's so think when folded up.
-
I did my part, I purchased my Energi in Sept. I've seen ad's for the C-Max online and heard them on the radio here in Utah as well. The Sept year-end deal was still in effect from Aug but the stock was down to 4 C-Max.

Utah 24.5, not too bad but I'm with you and enjoying my 77mpg in my Energi. 90% of my driving is all EV now. -
They come with mounts that attach to the windshield and they are spring loaded to keep themselves folded up. You pull them together and there is velcro that gets them to bind together to close the sun out. Now that you mention it, reaching across the C-Max would be an issue. Powered sunshade would be awesome.
-
When they are folded up they're only about an inch width in size. With the *huge* front window of the CMAX I doubt it'll be an issue and it never was for my Escape, Accord, or 626 back in the day. When they are first installed you'll know they are there but they never interfered with me being able to see in any of my previous cars I've used them.

Maxus got hit in the face with a rock
Kunari replied to mtb9153's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors & Wipers
Sorry to hear about Maxus, if you're not sure who to go to ask your insurance agent. I've found mine knows the local repair shops, but Safelite is a good choice as well. -
I'm getting mine tinted tomorrow to the legal limit in my state. I've tinted the windows in my previous cars and it really helps keep the summer heat out.

Do you have any Regrets in Buying the C-Max
Kunari replied to NCtoCAgirlie's topic in Buying, Order and Leasing
I got a good deal on my Energi, like others, I research a ton before buying and know what my trade-in is worth (if I'm doing one) and what a fair price is on the new. I waffled between a Red SEL (303a) and the base Energi I did purchase, having not used a drop of gas in a week of commuting to/from work helps me think I made the right choice. My "base" Energi is pretty loaded, everything on my list that I wanted --and a few things I didn't-- about the only thing I miss from my previous car is the backup camera. The accent lighting in the cup holders has really come in handy at night and a bonus to have the lighting elsewhere. -
I'd love to see Torque as a SYNC app. I have ordered a ODB sensor and I do have a 'droid tablet I could use but would rather not figure out a mounting spot and just use the big SYNC screen.
-
Thanks MAX, I'll try that next time I forget to look before getting out of the car. Still tempted to see if I can make the log with Torque and a ODB2 module.

I'd love a backup camera too, I'll add Lockpick and finding a good camera to my list. This is beyond my mechanical skills though, but I know people who'd help me.

Does anyone know if this can be used to make a "Trip Summary" log? I'd like to have the summaries automatically saved so I can review them later. I love the trip summaries, but there is no way to see the previous trips.

Weird, I don't think that worked on my 2014 Energi. Maybe I did left-right instead though, I'll be sure to try this tonight on my drive home from work.

Brought home my new C-MAX tonight, took since Wednesday night to negotiate with the dealer to get it done. :drop: I'd been shopping to replace my 2007 Ford Escape with something with day-to-day cargo room and better MPG. I looked at Honda FIT, Prius, Mazda CX5, Subaru Crosstrek, and Ford Fiesta Titanium Hatch. Drove a FIT and really liked it, then went to try the Fiesta and walked past the C-MAX and the 40MPG/88MPG window sticker got my attention. The cargo room in the Energi is a bit of a concern, but with the back seats down there is more room than it looks. With the Ford incentives and all, I was able to get into the Energi for not much more than I wanted to spend. :yahoo:

Hitch and bicycle rack combination
Kunari replied to A2gemini's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
Thanks, I'm torn between getting the Eco Hitch & rack or just a "trunk" mount bike rack. -
I do the same thing, I've always used my CC in the city though, it's not new for me. I've always gotten better MPG in all my cars by doing this.

I've used these before, Eclipse Sunshades. With the huge front window I'm considering it again and since they fold up to the sides there is not hassle in trying to store a sunshade. I've also used the foil covered foldup kind as well, but the CMAX window is so huge it's too big for the one I have.

I agree, I've put clearbra (or like) on all my cars since 1999 and love how it helps protect the hood. I've already got a install date for getting it on my CMAX, going with the "premium" level this time to get the whole hood covered
