We had to have our transmission replaced on our 2013 CMax at 55,000 miles in October 2019 and it was because of that leak. Luckily we had the extended warranty so all was covered, but it was a kick in the teeth.

Transmission to be replaced - have a question
pomtrey replied to Catmobile's topic in eCVT / Transmission
Indeed it was injector #2 this time. They are going to replace #1&3 also. So we’ll have all new injectors! I want to know however what caused the failure and how to prevent it. We always use top tier gas. Should we now start to use fuel injector cleaner anyhow? Is there another explanation for the injectors failing, essentially all at the same time? -

Our 2013 has 48,000 miles and last week the engine light was flashing and as I was driving home it started to shudder. By the time I got home the light was on steady. The next morning we had it towed to the dealer. Their diagnostic said it was a failed fuel injector. They replaced it and the car has been great. Until today. The engine light started flashing again so it’s going back in tomorrow. Hope it’s not a bigger problem. We absolutely love this car—the mileage, the power and the comfort are all great. Luckily we bought the extended warranty so we’re pretty well covered in that respect. -

yes both my husband and i notice a difference in mileage. we've had our car since December 2012 and do mostly city driving. initially we got 44ish in the city and less on the highway. now it's the complete opposite--we struggle to get 38 city and get 42-44 highway. it's frustrating; nothing else has changed, just the recalls. i feel the algorithm has changed to favor highway driving since most people seem to have complained about that early on. would love our old city mileage back.

I believe it was in the 3rd quarter. the time was 7:07; just unsure when the game started.

just saw a real ad for the hybrid on the packers/49ers game!!! got so excited! not a silly cartoon that says nothing, but one with adults in it talking about how well it drives. thrilling. I was beginning to think they would never advertise it.

TSB 13-6-17, SYNC - VARIOUS FUNCTIONALITY CONCERNS
pomtrey replied to Bill-N's topic in Maintenance, TSB's & Recalls
had this done at the dealer yesterday--Manhattan Ford in NYC. they did indeed have some trouble tnstalling, but they prevailed. it seems to have alleviated the problem. brought it to them because sync stopped using the phonebook and would just dial "dot com". didn't believe there would be a fix but thought I'd give it a shot. I can again make a call using the paddle. yay! it does, however, seem slow to respond. but for those basic sync users with issues, I'd recommend showing this to yr dealer. our dealer knew nothing of it before they dealt with my problem. I'm so glad they persevered. -
fascinating!!

yes, what about the cars with the panoramic roof? they surely have less protection. it's all very strange. -
