  1. It was a nice rainy day today so I did some testing. I tested it each time I started out. After starting the car I would turn on the front wipers then while watching the rear wiper I put the car in reverse. Each time I did the rear wiper would cycle once. It wasn't in reverse long enough for me to see if it would cycle like it was in intermittent mode just like you quoted from the manual. I guess that I still can learn something new each day. Thanks for the info.

  2. I like that.  I have problems with items falling out the back sometimes when the hatch is opened.   This would help that.  My xB had one back there and I loved it.   I see it lists only the Energy models.   Will this work on the SE?

This one from the same site says it fits the SE.

  3. Today marks one year with my 2015 C-Max SE. I have to say I am still thrilled with the car. There have been no problems with the car, in fact The only trip to the dealer was for an oil change around 10,000 miles. I currently have about 14,000 miles on it and according to the onboard computer the lifetime fuel mileage is 47.0. That is around 20 more than the Fusion I turned in to get this car. I look forward to enjoying this car for some time to come.

  4. The battery never really reaches full charge. It is a constant ebb and flow of charge to the battery. Most of the time mine sits between 1/3 and 1/2 of max but there are times when it nears full depending on ICE use and topography. You should see the little hat (^) at the top of the charge bar when the battery is being charged and at the bottom of the bar when discharging. You should read the owners manual and some of the posts in these forums for information on maximizing the use of the electric motor and keeping the Engage and Empower screens in the blue.

Welcome to the group and enjoy learning all you can about these great cars.

  5. What information does this Vehicle Health Report contain?  In looking at the owner's manual, it appears it doesn't work on Canadian models for some bizarre and unexplainable reason.

It gives you the basic status of various systems such as engine, transmission, & emissions; brakes and suspension; restraints &odoriferous assistance; and fluids & filters. If there is nothing wrong it does not tell you much but if it does spot something it might give you some early warning. It also tells you about any upcoming scheduled maintenance.

  6. I have a 2015 CMax Hybrid SE that I purchased in April. While everything else seems fine I have not been able to get a vehicle health report to complete. I have verified that I am registered at the Ford owners site and the same phone worked fine for vhr in the Fusion I traded in. I have removed that vehicle and registered the new one on the Ford site. When I tell the system to execute the report the screen tells me that it is configuring the system. After a few minutes of that the system changes the message to tell me that there is a vehicle data collection fault and that the report cannot be submitted at that time, try again later. The attached files are pictures of the messages.

I have about 2300 miles on the car and do not have any kind of code scanner attached.

I posted this issue on the sync forum about a month ago and Rebecca from Ford replied and got more info from me. She then told me that her support people are aware of the problem and that she would escalate my problem. I have not heard anything since then.

I have not called the dealer yet because I am hoping to avoid putting it in the shop. Does anyone have any thoughts on getting this working?

    Thanks in advance.

  7. I am still learning this myself, I've only been on here for a month or so. I did come across this link http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/974-hybrid-car-acronyms/ which has most of the acronyms you will come across here. After you get some of them figured out you can go through the forums and learn a lot. There is a lot of solid information here posted by a lot of knowledgeable people who have been driving and learning about these cars a lot longer than me. Enjoy the learning and the new vehicle, they are fun to drive.
