  1. It was a nice rainy day today so I did some testing. I tested it each time I started out. After starting the car I would turn on the front wipers then while watching the rear wiper I put the car in reverse. Each time I did the rear wiper would cycle once. It wasn't in reverse long enough for me to see if it would cycle like it was in intermittent mode just like you quoted from the manual. I guess that I still can learn something new each day. Thanks for the info.
  2. Is that only if you have the auto sensing option? I don't and mine does run sometimes. I will have to experiment with putting it into reverse though to see if that causes it.
  3. The back wiper in my 2015 will also do that sometimes but not every time I tap the front wiper once to clear the morning dew. Any additional taps will not cause the back one to wipe. I don't know why there is no consistency to it but there isn't. I've stopped trying to figure it out.

  5. With the cold weather coming at us I am looking at getting heated seat cushions for my '15 SE. Does anyone have any recommendations? I can see a variety online but not being able to see them before buying makes it a guessing game for a good choice. Thanks.

  7. Check the owners manual section on information displays. I was able to set the left display in my '15 to show ice temperature and also a tach. That way I could know when it is warmed up so I could get heat without running the ice needlessly.
  8. Today marks one year with my 2015 C-Max SE. I have to say I am still thrilled with the car. There have been no problems with the car, in fact The only trip to the dealer was for an oil change around 10,000 miles. I currently have about 14,000 miles on it and according to the onboard computer the lifetime fuel mileage is 47.0. That is around 20 more than the Fusion I turned in to get this car. I look forward to enjoying this car for some time to come.
  9. Look for "Global Opening" in the owners manual. Page 80 in the one that I have for my 2015 SE. Basically it tells you to press the unlock button twice and hold it for about 3 seconds to get them to start down and then release the button.
  10. The battery never really reaches full charge. It is a constant ebb and flow of charge to the battery. Most of the time mine sits between 1/3 and 1/2 of max but there are times when it nears full depending on ICE use and topography. You should see the little hat (^) at the top of the charge bar when the battery is being charged and at the bottom of the bar when discharging. You should read the owners manual and some of the posts in these forums for information on maximizing the use of the electric motor and keeping the Engage and Empower screens in the blue. Welcome to the group and enjoy learning all you can about these great cars.

  12. I wonder if that could be a state requirement, my 2015 SE in PA does not have a beeper.
  13. It gives you the basic status of various systems such as engine, transmission, & emissions; brakes and suspension; restraints &odoriferous assistance; and fluids & filters. If there is nothing wrong it does not tell you much but if it does spot something it might give you some early warning. It also tells you about any upcoming scheduled maintenance.
  14. Here is the followup. Yesterday I had it into the dealer where they applied the fix for the Data Collection Fault error that Rebecca told us about. A couple of hours later I tried the Vehicle Health Report and it was finally successful. My thanks go out to Rebecca from Ford and the Ford tech team who got this solution in place for us so quickly.
  15. I have made an appointment with my dealer for the 6th of July so I will know then how it goes. I will report back afterwards to let you all know. Thanks to Rebecca for getting the fix out to us so quickly.
