  1. My right rear door fits relatively poorly, especially towards the roof as if the door had once been pried far enough to slip something in to unlock the car. I'd love to make it more quiet but don't really see a clear path towards making it better.
  2. Just picked up our 2014 C-Max Energi from the Ford dealer after a two week stay to replace the transmission under TSB 20-2219. Car has 67,000 miles on it and until now has been trouble free. Since there is a TSB for this and it was covered under an extended warranty, this must be a relatively common problem.
  3. I have a 2014 C-Max Energi that I bought used three years ago. This past week while having the car at the Ford dealer for the state inspection I asked for the engine air filter to be changed as I doubt it had every been done and the car now has 55,000 miles on it. The service writer told me that this car has an air filter meant for the life of the car and to change it would cost $250. I've looked at the instructions to change and while more tedious than most filters he must have been mistaken. What was he thinking about?
  4. Thanks for the pic. I am pretty sure my wife's road bike would fit. She is only 5' 3" and I think her road bike is a pretty small frame.
  5. I see that C-Max owners are already looking for racks to fit a C-Max but has anyone tried to see if they can fit a bicycle inside the vehicle by lowering the rear seats and removing the front wheel? I own two Escapes and they are great for hauling road bikes. By removing the front wheel the bike will stand upright inside the cargo area and you can easily fit two bikes plus some luggage. If you don't need the back seat this is a nice alternative to hauling on the roof (and reducing gas mileage) or on a hitch rack where the bikes can get a lot of road grit on them. I hope to take some measurements soon but the C-Max is still a rare find in my area. Thanks
