I had the Michelin Xice x3 snow tires 215/55/R17 on the stock rims and had no issues and good traction here in western NY and we sometimes get a lot of snow here. Anyone around Western NY area need a set of factory rims with these snow tires? unfortunately, I no longer have my cmax (Totalled), but still have the factory rims/tires.

Thats pretty cool. Glad it's working out and all the testing your doing.

Body shop estimated $10-11K in Visible damages, they totaled it. Just waiting on insurance check. I'll be looking for another one. ? Already found a few online a few years newer. Well, my search has lead me to a 2017 Rav 4 Hybrid (only 29K miles), not quite as high MPG as Cmax, but more room and all wheel drive along with other creature comforts. Thanks for all the info and a great car I had, it's been FUN and learned a lot on this forums.

Thanks all! Still waiting on estimate, they are crazy busy, not like I do have other vehicle to drive, so no hurry. hopefully find out first of next week. At Least my new job (that I Just started at same company, moved to another position, since my old position was going to be eliminated in the next 6 months) I can work from home 3 days a week.!!

I have had a blast with my 2013 Cmax and learned a lot on these forum. I bought in 2015 with 19K miles. Now, a little over 102K miles. First, I am fine, no injuries at all. Just a little shaken up is all at the time. Yesterday (9/19) on the hiway doing 65, I hit a 4 point Buck, never saw it. it jumped out of median right into the car, almost thru the windshield. As you can see, bumper, fender, hood and windshield are damaged. It didn't blow any airbags. didn't look like any fluids were leaking either. it did kill the car/battery. I know the computer is the fender somewhere. I had the 4 ways on but after a while, they stopped. When Wrecker got there, it would not turn on to put in neutral, we did finally figured out in the center console, the clip under the shifter to release it. It's at body shop and insurance adjuster has to look at it. not sure if they will fix or not. ? if they total it, I might look for another one, or looking at the new Ford Maverick Hybrid truck. Thanks all! :)

New computer and new Fuel injectors fixed it! $$$ ouch. Seems to run smoother too. so maybe i've been having small issues of misfires or the computer starting to fail. either way. it's back and running good so far.! -
i use the full synthetic 5W20 Mobil One and go by the oil life on the monitor. Usually average 10-12K miles between changes when the Oil LIfe monitor says 10% or less.

2013 with about 80K miles. Figured I'd add to this thread, mine started rough running, less power and check engine light came on going home last Wed. made it home mostly on Battery and coasting, about 5-6 miles or so.... got home and when the ICE came on after pressing throttle, it was shaking really bad and shut off almost immediately. AAA towed it to the dealer, they scanned and found major errors in the computer, and found the computer case in the front fender all corroded (nice place to put it in a high salt/hard winter area LOL) and ordered a new computer. Ouch.. $$$ plus labor, diagnosis, etc..and not saying it will solve the problem. but it's a start. Maybe tomorrow or thurs I will know more once they get a new computer. HOPEFULLY that solves problem. it happened once before and cleared itself and been running fine. -

Wow, expensive in Canada. Mine says VC-3-B Orange/Antifreeze coolant Concentrate Antifreeze/Coolant. This is what the for dealer sold me. I think yours with the VC-3-DIL-B in the part number is diluted. premixed. https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Ford-VC-3-B-Concentrated-Antifreeze/dp/B00BNVK14U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1543707539&sr=8-1&keywords=VC-3-B+coolant

Mine was a little below MIN level also. I Just picked up a gallon of antifreeze FORD ORANGE from the Ford Dealer parts counter, they recommend NOT mixing with other coolants, other people have probably have done this, and some coolants say compatible with all vehicles. but I figured i'd go with the FORD Orange coolant. I put in both electric motor and ICE overflow bottles and some in my wifes escape, all were a little below min. level. raised them up to middle level. I think it was like $18-23 for the gallon.

LED brake, reverse, license plate etc... lighting upgrade?
WNY replied to armoredsaint's topic in General Discussion
Just replaced my LIcense plate lights with LEDs since one was burn out and slightly broken lenses for some reason. The new ones came as a set with housing and a pigtail plug, they just plug into the socket where the old bulb was, 5 min installation. Definitely Bright! -

I just put a bottle of Techron Fuel Injector cleaner in mine. Have to give it some time to work thru. I have run the NOS Octane booster on long trips and it does seem to help get a few more MPG. I Have a long trip end of the month coming up, so getting it ready for it.
