I have a 2013 ford c-max and I just ordered an upgrade for my sync 2 to the sync 3 from ebay. I am wondering about the modem upgrade and I see some part numbers on fords part site. there seems to be 2 parts. transceiver - part #: GM5Z14G229BF control mobile phone - part #: DM5Z19K350C which part needs to be upgraded? both parts seem to be around $300+

did you ever figure this out? I'm having wiper issues myself, they completely don't work anymore. I replaced the relays but I may have fried the motor when I tried to pull out the first one. I didn't disconnect the power and the cover came off the relay and I had to grab it with the pliers and it started moving as I removed it. I got a replacement for $7.99 from o'reily auto parts, said it didn't fit the car. but I just switched out the rear wiper for that relay and the rear wiper is still working. I just bought a second one and replaced the high low relay today. I have replaced all the fuses in the car as well, including the bolt down mids. maybe I should disconnect the rain sensor? I was having an issue like you have and then they just went out complete. at first, usually it started happening when the battery was going to die. but after i replaced the fuses, I didn't have the battery die anymore, I just upgraded my battery to a H5 AGM battery, it doesn't fit in the battery hole though. the car is a lot happier with the battery as it has over 1.5 times the CCA of what was in it. my AC is also out, been working on replacing fuses and relays to try and figure out if that is the issue. I think my engine fan may not be working but it is hard to tell. there is a relay in the engine fuse box that is special and costs like $200. the one with the pegs on it. mine is like scorched on the terminals.

If i could get a radio from another ford, would i be able to transpant it to my 2013 c max, im seeing a a couple of new ford cars in a place i could get parts from and wondering if i could take one from a 2017 ford fiesta or 2017 ford focus

Im showing a number of dtc, need some help fixing it, mainly looking to fix the apim ones. I was getting errors out of the pcm but i just they arent there now. I was working on the hvac system and my engine seems like it was worked on as the engine air filter block was missing both bolts and the low pressure cap was missing. The engine air intake hose is broken, missing part of the bolt downs.

I have been replacing more fuses, i need to get more 5a and 10a and i will be done. Debating if i need to replace the 50a midis. I am trying to program a new key but the osb connector wasnt fully compatible with forscan, sent it back and ordered the right one. I have an engine error that showed up with lost communications to the engine cooling pump control module. Ill have to get that code. I need to check the fuse for it. Also in the luggage fuse box, fuse f21 (Smart datalink connector) had a 15a in it, but the information i found said it should be a 10a. The 2014 is a 15a though. To note all the fuses i am pulling either has like corrosion or scorch marks on them.

Ford says my sync is 3.1 but im not sure.

Im trying to figure out the cause. But my music will be playing from my phone amd then it will just stop mid song. Is the bluetooth and external device that might be loose on its connection? Should i just put my music on an usb stick? Id like to upgrade the radio but it is far more then i can afford.

I had my power drain multiple times. Went to auto zone for a portable jumper and they told me i needed a new battery. Had to carry it back to the car. Only needed a portable jump, which i own now. My car is a 2013. I even took it to ford to have them fix it and they did nothing. I did get the missing rear hatch arm replaced. After deep searching everything. I found something about the engine fuse box and replacing it. I did not go to that extreme but did replace all the standard fuses and i am in the process of replacing the others. Im not sure where to get the relays. The fuses were not blown but showed sings of corrosion. I think the corrosion is part of causing the power drain issues. Since i replaced them, my battery has started holding a better charge. The fuse box doesnt seem to be well sealed to the elements. I have another cable i need to replace that seems to be part of the wipers. It has exposed wiring. Im not sure how much work is involved with replacing it.

Hi, i was looking for a hybrid car in the summer of 2022 and ended up getting a used 2013 ford c-max sel. I really like the car even if it came with some problems. Was missing one of the rear hatch arms and i had the power drain issue happen multiple times.
