Based on this, and others comments, it appears as though the update has to take place on-line with Ford servers, versus download the file to the local dealer, then do the update. Very disheartening if this is really the case. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Cheers.

Ford Etis Website - Check It Out!

Balderdash! Had mine done last Friday. -
3.5.1 seems to have fixed some buggy behavior
Bill-N replied to GreenChicago's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Mine opener worked without issue following the 3.5.1 upgrade. (Obviously doesn't require correct "Where Am I" position! Sarcasm mine.) -
With EZ Pass, there's no monthly minimum. There's a minimum balance of $10 and they add $25 when the balance is below $10. I actually use it very little, but the convenience is unsurpassed.

Exactly. It's read electronically as you drive through the toll booth. Monthly email statement and charges go on your credit card. Some tool booths are also high speed; just whiz through at 65+mph. System works like a charm. Google EZ Pass. It also neat because most of the northeast is on the same system, so the one windshield-mounted gizmo works in NY, NJ, DE, PA, MA, etc.

Mine is behind the mirror on the passengers side. Here's a lousy picture taken from the passenger side.

My experience, too. Very strange that "Where am I" is so far off (over 100 miles in my case).

It makes for a hellofa long walk to the garage. :)

As I noted in another forum: "I and several others have noticed this. I'm guessing it's the C-Max performing fuel system evaporation leak test(s). These apparently need to be done after the car sits awhile so there is no pressure inside the fuel system. There's some mention of these tests here (http://fordcmaxhybri...ne-light/page-4) that may help."

If the FOB is near the car, (1) pulling a door handle will unlock the car, (2) pressing the black button will lock the car. There's no way I know of to manually test whether or not the car is locked if the FOB is nearby. And no, I don't know exactly what "nearby" means; you'll have to test this for yourself. Cheers.

I'm now the owner of MFT 3.5.1. (FYI, I do NOT have Navigation.) First the good news: Outside air temp is now displayed at the top of the MFT screen where it can be seen. I now have the cute power flow graphic. Will have to wait to see about: SYNC "unable to locate vehicle". Clock accuracy. Unable to turn off radio after vehicle is shut off. Radio turns on (not back on) after completion of incoming phone call. Rear view camera error message (I don't have a rear view camera). What isn't fixed and I guess never will be: Unable to set clock via GPS. (I don't expect it to update across time zones or for Daylight Savings Time.) And finally, (drum roll please) what's worse: GPS "Where am I" location went from some 10 miles inaccurate to well over 100 miles off! I'm now in Massachusetts! And now, a quick 3.5.1 FYI; the outside temperature initially showed 60 degrees F (it was 90+ in reality). Apparently, the display has to recalibrate itself. Wish I knew that before making a hasty U-turn to return to the dealer. Anyway, it only took a mile or two to fix. (One wonders to what does it calibrate.)

Updated C-Max & Energi Quick Reference Guides released
Bill-N replied to ceemax71's topic in Hybrid Driving Tips & Tricks
Thank you. -
It matches finger press position with what is displayed. Longer answer: Finger press is translated into X-Y screen coordinates, usually in pixels. The software has to determine what was displayed at that position in order to know what action is intended. Calibrating gets things "lined-up" in software land.

FYI, my initial 3.5.1 upgrade experience is here: http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1569-351anyone-anyone/page-9?do=findComment&comment=20748

It operates as one would hope. I.e. the engine runs and it does not force EV mode.

I have the display (MFT, no NAV). Don't know if it's accurate. I'll update this when I find out.t:t Edit: Coordinates are about 10 miles off. It thinks I'm South-East of my actual location. In a reservoir no less! Edit2: Sigh! (Let's get that out of the way up front.) I'm now the owner of MFT 3.5.1. No hard drive and no DVD player?
Bill-N replied to BIG ROCCO's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
I haven't tried it, but I believe the SD card can also be used for storage in a non-Nav instance. Someone will correct this if I'm wrong. :) -
Good point. I hadn't been concerned about GPS accuracy.

What cool hidden feature have you discovered about your C-Max?
Bill-N replied to armoredsaint's topic in General Discussion
And those who paid for the SEL lost the panic button. :angry2: -
What does this mean? Don't deliver cars without the update? Don't do the update because there's a problem? Inquiring minds want to know. :)
-
The SE models seem to be taking the brunt of the dead battery issues. It may well be that a portion of these problems are related to the lack of fog lights on the SE. The SEL fog lights appear to provide a bit of protection for electrical connections in the area. Check the above mentioned "connections" link for more info. Good luck.

Thank you. An additional question: to whom are TSB and SSM addressed? I presume TSB is dealer only. What about SSM? Cheers.

Were it that I had an Energi.
