Every couple of days, the rear wiper will make one wipe across the rear window when I start the car. Is this normal? It's not reproducable, very random behavior.

Find a wrecked C-Max with the new system and yank the whole thing (including computers - especially computers) then stick it in your C-Max. Someone did that to an Escape that came without Navigation (2013+ model so very similar to the C-Max) and they were able to get it to work. It was the same generation of Sync though

If you change the display to show the KW usage (where it shows "Climate" and "Other"), the AC will draw about 2 KW on a hot summer day when the car is first turned on. It eventually goes down to about 0.25 KW. So yeah you get quite a hit when its first turned on, but if you use recirculate it eventually settles down and hardly draws any power at all.

Yes thread is incredibly old I know - U-Haul has a lighting kit for like $50 that will add a 4 way flat to a vehicle that has separate turn & brake lights. Still not sure I'd tow anything with a C-Max - although if you 5 HUGE adults in the car and a full load of luggage, not sure if that's much difference than a 1000 pound trailer.
