My son is ditching the commision. I ordered the car at the cost ford employees pay and my extended warranty will be dealer cost. Overall saving about 5000$ + 750 rebate from ford plus federal rebate :-) so over 8000$

Any data on Energi driven in auto mode at 55 with econo cruise ?

Seems like the solution is to use slow to medium flow rate on filling and not ram gas into the tank.

This seems like a rather circutious way to reset your clock.

So what kind of millage can you expect from the Energi if you put it in auto mode and drive at 55 like an old fart with econo cruise ??

I think the Energi will hands down beat out the Prius. Drive like a prius in a Cmax and you will get great millage. Floor it and you will still get good milage just not 47 mpg.

I think the article isnt so bad. I ordered my Energi so I can commute gas free.

I don't fit the Prius. The Cmax with it's high roof and doorline are much better. Besides my son sells fords. Gotta help out him.

Hi, My name is Jeff and I've ordered a new Platinum White Energi loaded with the glass roof from my son who sells fords. My commute is 16 miles to work and there is a charging point there with free charging as I'm a state employee. I looked at the Prius but didn't feel it had enough range. I also have a large torso and greatly appreciate the Cmax door and roof height. Anybody here also from Spokane ????? Jeff

I forgot to mention I broke my Subaru's timing belt. Rather than fix it I'm letting it sit and driving my girlfriend's Audi TT till my Energi arrives. My commute is 16 miles to work and I have free charging there since I'm a state employee. Hopefully I can commute with the Energi and use no gas. Life is tough sometimes.

My son who sells Fords :-) ordered my Platinum White Energi with black leather interior loaded with all options including the panaramic roof in early jan. Vin # is assigned and hopefully it shall be built in the next two weeks. No sticker yet. I'm really excited !! I had thought of getting red but I've driven a red Subaru for 14 years so white metalic was my next choice. Jeff

The information provided is a little disconcerting. I wonder how many of the battery fires are SHORTS of the battery stored alone and how many are spontanious fires of batteries on a device. Any battery that shorts will potentially start a fire as low resistance and high current capacity would be a problem. I use an Ecig and had a spare battery in my pocket once with change. It shorted and produced a rather funny dance on my part. Now I use a battery case and have had no futher incidents. Moral ........ use a battery case to prevent shorts from incidental metal contact.
