Is there any interest in a Ford C-MAX Registry?

I hear that Ford is working on new ground up designed hybrid. They will not make C Max hybrids any more. Hope that the new car will have the headroom of our maxes. I'm 6' 4" and that was the big selling point for me. Everything else I love about my Max was just icing on the cake.

I don't necessarily think that Ford will drop the C-MAX name.

Mine has Ford and Shelby Mustang parts and cars scattered around.  It's really messy. :(

I haven't seen the how the dead pedal in the C-MAX is setup, however, in past applications (Mustang), there was a way to remove it via two bolts.

Test drove a C-Max last Friday.  Very impressed.  It was a sterling gray with 301 package.  Looking for same color with 302 package, more for the backup camera than the power lift gate.  

 

I have been driving a Hyandai Sante Fe for the last three years and wanting to get to something smaller but between bad back and too many years I find it uncomfortable getting in and out of sedans.  I found the C-Max was no problem at all.  I have found two cars that meet what I want, both are about 250 miles from me so would have to travel on the hope I can reach a decent price with my trade in.  

 

I looked up gad pods after seeing them mentioned in several posts.  How well do they work for those who have installed them?  Would it be possible to see pics of an installation?

 

I want to thank the members of this site.  Have been reading avidly and have bookmarked the link to Ford's how to videos and have downloaded the C-Max manual in hopes of needing it before long.

 

You know, new car fever is fatal.  You can live it with it indefinitely but it will eventually be fatal if you don't buy a new car!

There's a few Mods on there.  Let me know and I can pin them too.

How about an "Ashley, Help Me" Section, or equivalent, though I think that my suggestion has a nice ring to it!

Ford uses a scan system to notify them of new posts, topic, etc., so they don't want a specific forum.  Nice idea though.

This guy spammed the Blue Oval Forum and was banned. He also posted his self serving BS on the Energi forum. The Moderators should close this thread and at the least put this poster on notice.

We have indeed warned the poster about his actions.

It would be hard to impose a post limit rule on a welcome forum, where the purpose is to introduce yourself.  We need another solution or maybe a section for C-MAX help where new topics could be created.  Thus, if complaint topics and not started in that forum, they could be moved there.

Other ideas?

Which leads to another question, we need more moderators to help out.  E-mail if you interested.

Can the forum settings be changed so you can't post a new topic until you've got 10 posts in? I'm kind of tired of these people popping in to enumerate their problems, and then never returning to acknowledge the responses, and having a posting history would at least reduce that. 

I think it's possible and will check into this.

I own a 2013 Ford C-Max that has spent a total of 43 days in the shop since purchase on October 7th 2013. It refuses to start, has had two bad wheel bearings, a rattle, navigation that is wonky and a stereo that decides what radio station I can listen to and Ford Motor Company will not buy it back.

The overwhelming majority of people here love their C-MAX, therefore, when you're seen as bashing it, people will be less likely to wish to help or support your cause.

While you're allowed to post a topic about the experience, as mentioned above, please don't spam the boards.

Finally, try to PM one of the Ford reps that are on this forum to see if they can assist.

Click here for the 2015 Ford Focus photo gallery, which will be introduced in Geneva in a few days.  I love the wagon style, but it's unknown if they will allow that model to be sold in North America yet.

Do you think this would make a nice Energi or Hybrid product?

The problem will beging to occur when some lawyer or police gestapo unit subpoenas Ford for that information
