I had rented a fusion hybrid for a week. That is what convinced me to look into the C-Max. I did a strictly hybrid trip in the rain on the highway and got about 39 mpg. I was doing about 70 mph. I am thinking it dropped a lot due to rolling resistance. Another trip I did mostly highway I got close to 45.

Hi everyone I bought a new 2017 C-Max Energi. I was able to average 50 mpg on the car's computer before plugging it in. This was driving relatively conservatively. Since I have been plugging in I am showing high 80s. I am also averaging about 30 miles per charge. I have put about 350 miles on it and I still have about 3/4 tank. I am happy with the mileage in just hybrid mode. I probably would have been happy with 45. I haven't done any extended highway driving yet so I am hoping I can get over 40 doing that.
