Not sure if it's a known issue or not. I just have a friend that emails pictures from his iPhone and occasionally they are upside down.

iPhone?

Just found this. http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2012/10/regular-cars-that-take-premium-gasoline.html Kinda shoots down my point two from above.

I'll be happy if its a wash, I'll just have to fill up less often. I did a little research and came up with a couple of take home points. 1. Premium is better with high compression ratio engines. (C-Max is 12.3:1) 2. No manufacturer will recommend premium unless the engine absolutely requires it.(for comparison shopping reasons) It is possible that the premium gas could produce some MPG gains with high compression ratio engines. Warning* I didn't get any of this from scientific journals and I'm not an engineer ;)

HeatShield sunshade for the 2013 CMax

I got the biggest they had at Wal-Mart and it looks like the one you have pictured, except its a shiny foil instead of the matte silver. Super Jumbo or something like that. It was less than ten bucks with tax. After a couple of days I was able to put it up and take it down in one fluid motion. Fits great under the passenger’s seat. -
Going to try this out.

I've always heard this was a myth, but If you guys are getting results I'll give it a shot.

Edit: Too slow. AE beat me to it. Google the text and it comes up on Facebook as the first hit. I don't have an account so I'm no help as to what it says. I used this.(copy and paste) J M This just happened to me! My 10 day old c-max is completely dead and I'm sitting here waiting for a tow truck. I'm beyond furious, and the dealership was zero help. about an hour ago · Tow truck said it is the 6th c-max with same issue he has towed

Check out the pics at the top. The cars look European.

Open invitation and question to those struggling with their mileage.

Thanks. Kinda what I figured, but thought I would ask. -
I guess no Titanium then. What is the expected delivery date?

In my experience the car wants to "burn off" any charge left from the previous trip. When the ICE kicks in there is an EV assist until the charge is brought down to a certain level. When I noticed this I decided EV+ was probably worth keeping on. Does anyone have EV+ off and see something different?

Do you guys think using 0W-20 oil would help in my situation? -

I drive four small trips each day (back and forth to work). This equals about ten miles a day during the week. I average anywhere from 30 to 50 MPG depending on the lights I catch. I have noticed my mileage is better on the weekends when I travel more. I know these small trips are bringing my average down, as it would with any car. I guess my car never really warms up until the weekends. We did take a 1200 mile trip to Mississippi a few weeks ago that brought my lifetime average down a full 1.5 MPG. I have recovered about .5 MPG so far. :) My current tank is averaging 43.3 MPG. (3100 miles on the odometer) -
Would be nice if this was some sort of software update!

Do you recall what MPG you achieved test driving the C-Max?

I keep getting this. Sorry, the page you requested could not be found. It may have moved to a new location. Please click on the tabs above to help find it or go to http://www.safercar.gov Anyone else?

My Fuelly number is 39.0 MPG, but my car since starting Fuelly says 40.8 MPG. I figured the car would be optimistic, but not by this much. Does this seem too optimistic?
