  1. Yeah, has gotta be a fault. I tested my AC at the dealer before I drove away. Also I am very impressed at how cold the AC can get the car. We had an 80f day the other day and I set it on max AC and left it there. It got the car to around 45f. Could almost see my breath. It was great :D
  2. Thanks! Snapped back into place no problem. Whew. Slightly unnerving when parts start rolling out from under the seat, lol
  3. Could someone get me a picture of how it attaches? If its easy to put back on id rather do it myself rather than make an appointment at the service center.
  4. So on a trip we had a can of energy drink fall under the drivers seat and knock something loose. This piece came out when I hit the brakes. http://76.191.127.130/Stuff/Car/2013-05-06T13-30-33_0.jpg http://76.191.127.130/Stuff/Car/2013-05-06T13-30-33_1.jpg Its an air duct of some type I think. Can someone else look under their drivers seat and see where this came from?
  5. Anybody know what the max power draw through the rear 12v plug would be? Know what fuse is on it? Trying to decide if I can hook up a decent sized inverter to it for events.
  6. This is at the tail end of my crappy MPG tank from a road trip last weekend (cold temps, freeway with lots of hills, I doubt I will brake 500mi on this tank), but was surprised with a warm drive on the way to work today. Route taken is here: http://76.191.127.130/Stuff/RoutetoWork.png I take about a 3-4mpg hit on the way home. Mainly cause there is far more traffic and more stupid people. I get far less regen cause I have to hit the brakes more due to douchebags. Not much elevation increase. Maybe 100ft?
  7. I wonder if having more weight in the car than stated will void the warranty somehow...
  8. C-MAX handles rain just fine in Seattle. Although during the last rainstorm (actually had to put wipers on high for a change) the car had some hydroplaning at freeway speeds that I didnt have in my last car. Also accelerating too fast at lights when it was raining at a decent pace caused the car to lose grip and spin the front wheels. I blame the tires though. I should try drifting the C-MAX at a track for funsies sometime...
  9. Yeah, When I test drove it I found the brakes super grabby but I was used to my 12yo car's brake pedal that had 2" of travel before the brakes would engage. After the first week of driving it I have adapted, plus I think the brake pads wore in a bit and there is a bit more travel in the pedal before friction brakes kick in. Either that or I have just found the sweet spot between regn and friction brakes.
  10. The non-broken in engine critical hit me right in the MPG this weekend. Did a trip 80mi north with 4 total people in the car. My average mpg on this tank is going to suck :( (its at 36.8 right now with the tank at 50%). Tried all I could to cruise at freeway to get the most mpg possible but my averages were 42 on the way there and 36 on the way back. Route back was likely due to temps since it got down to 42 degrees on the route back.
  11. My window sticker (late march build date) has it rated 4 stars in the NHTSA tests.
  12. I found this one: http://www.nushield.com/ Going to give it a shot. Searching hasnt revealed any other type.
  13. Scratches? Plastic resistive touch screens collect them quite easily (if you had an old winmo smartphone back in the day you would know what im talking about). Who knows when someone with long nails or an errant ring will graze the screen.
  14. Thats what resistive touch means ;) Capicitive touch is what new smartphones /w glass screens use. Resistive is the MFT system and was used in older smartphones that used a stylus.
