  1. FYI update! I just read the Cmax Owners manual about doors/locks...Pg#60. If the door is ajar, the battery saver is unable to turn the lights off! The doors must be closed! ?
  2. After parking my Cmax yesterday evening I took some time to visit my neighbor, not realizing my granddaughter left the rear door ajar. After returning home I noticed the parking lights on the car , since the door was not closed. My question, if I didn't notice the issue....does the Cmax eventually shut the lights off? If so, how long does it take?
  3. I will try the hard sudden stops a couple times as you suggested. The sound is not whining or squealing. It could be described as "scuffing" or 'dragging' and increases and decreases with the motion of the car. It cannot be heard outside the vehicle with the Windows down. Of course, the sound inside comes only from the rear! I appreciate your response and will try the brake suggestion tomorrow!
  4. Update...the brakes were checked and are fine. I'm going to assume it's a normal sound that hybrids make. Ford Dealer had no comment!
  5. I own a 2017 Cmax Hybrid with only 19,000 miles, but have noticed a noise that coincides with the motion of my wheels at very low speed after not driving it for 2-3 days. (I'm retired) Once I leave the subdivision and drive onto the highway...it goes away. Does that noise coincide with any functions that involve it being a hybrid? I had the car recently aligned and tires rotated, but the sound continues. Any thoughts?
  6. Please clarify my understanding on battery concerns. I have a 2017 Cmax Hybrid! If I go into my garage and open the car door, which turns on the interior and dash lighting....then close the car door....how long is the normal interval before the interior lights go out?

  8. It doesn't happen all the time, however, when my audio is off and I start my car after its been parked for an hour or so....the radio turns on when I start my ignition! I have a 2017 Cmax Hybrid! I noticed it never turns on by itself if the car has been parked more than a day...but only seems to have the problem when idle for a few minutes up to a few hours!

Anymore photos? Can you buy that front fascia stateside? I like it!
  11. That's incredible mileage! Maybe put you in a Ford commercial! By the way, I was driving in to get my oil change this morning, when the 'Oil Change Due' alert popped up on my panel! I asked the dealer why I had the alert when it only had 3500 miles since previous oil change! He 'theorized' that it was over a year that triggered the alert, but advised me he wasn't sure and that I should continue with the annual oil changes! Anyway....thanks for responding.....despite these crazy infiltrators on this Cmax site!?
  12. Paul....Did I misread your 270k miles? You could not mean you have 270,000 miles...right?
  13. Thanks for the detailed analysis! I was thinking of changing to a Synthetic Oil to extend my oil longevity, but wasn't sure it's worth it , since I'm turning 17,000 miles this week and only drive normally once a week for an all day total of 60 miles (shopping, grand kids, etc)....all local stop and go driving! I just checked my oil and it's definitely not clear but not super dark either. I stopped leasing cars ,since I don't drive anywhere much anymore! Well, it's about $45 for an Oil/Filter change....so , once a year would seem reasonable! Thanks again for responding!
  14. get the changes done at the Ford Dealer...they call it "synthetic blend! " I just watched the Bob Likis Motor show and the 2 mechanics talked about "low mileage oil changes!" They insisted on changing the oil regularly despite low mileage since the oil actually collects condensation/water especially when the vehicle is not allowed to attain full operable performance when only driven for 15 minutes or so. So, it's not necessarily the dirty oil but rather the watery condensation that is the reason to change it! I love my Cmax and plan to keep her....so, I will get the oil change this week! Thanks for your quick response...much appreciated! I hate wearing those silly masks ?!!!
