we had a 13 CMAX from auction come in off the truck. Trans was rattling. It had 85k on it. Sent it to Ford and 2 weeks later we had a new trans installed. They have 8/100k warranties. My 15 with 95k is going to the dealer this am to be evaluated on possible drivetrain issues.

Finally got the brake lights fixed, figured that out. Now about 5 miles into driving the SEE MANUAL message appears, and the WRENCH ICON. Stop, restart it is gone for another 5 miles where it comes back on. No noticeable run-ability change with the CMax. I do not have an owners manual. When I google it, the results say power train issue. No codes. DEALER TIME? 95k miles.

Brakes lights remain on even after shutting the car down. They will remain on until the 12v battery is dead. We tried charging the 1 year old 12v. Then replacing it. Still after you drive and park, the tail lights remain on. IF you open the hatch, pop the battery lid open, loosen the pos side and disconnect for 3 seconds, reconnect, the tail lights stay off. Next time you use the CMax, the tail lights stay on. Disconnect the brake light switch, the lights remain on..... any ideas?

Would a higher end SNAPON Scanner reset everything?

2015 CMax Hybrid I bought at auction a few weeks back. Nice ride. Price was right. It's a once upon a time rental---it has the MyKey enabled. I cannot figure out how UNABLE IT. I have two fobs. I go into settings on the display to the left of the cluster, then pick MYKEY. It says. 0 Mykey 2 Admin keys I cannot figure out a way to shut off the Mykey. It has me at 75mph. 40% volume on the radio and other annoyances. Any ideas? I followed the instructions online and also in my manual. The display says 0 MyKey. But when you fire it up, it says on the left display that MyKey is enabled.

I did not scroll thru the responses. My adopted dad has a 13 FFE which has a radio glitch. He bought a pair of 15 C-Max's yesterday for himself and replacement of my Prius that is totally worn to the ground. In the mornings he says his audio will not come on. It happens once a month. He said last week he had audio which would not shut down, even though the cluster said audio is off. Ford said it is a software glitch. He momentarily disconnects the POS side of the 12 volt battery. It resets the SYNC.
