When Wipers on / Headlights on?
Muttonhead replied to Muttonhead's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors & Wipers
Thanks for the reply. I have my headlights on the auto position, and when my auto wipers come on when it rains, I didn't see the green dash indicator on. I will need to check outside the vehicle during next rain. -
CR's 10 Least Reliable Cars - C-Max leads the list
Muttonhead replied to maxed-out's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
Consumer Reports speaks out of both sides of their mouths. If the C-Max is so unreliable, based on owner feedback, how come in Jan 2014 issue, page 51, 84 percent of C-Max owners said they would definitely buy the car again. Was one of the highest ratings for customer recommendation for hybrid. Seems to me if it was so bad, it would not get such a high rating from readers survey. -
May be a dumb question, but is it possible that Ford got a sh*t load of bad batteries that were installed in the first run of C -Maxes? I've had experience with new batteries that tested fine, but after having issues, were replaced, and eliminated the problem. Like I said, may be a dumb question!

Ford C-max least reliable car in America (Says CR)
Muttonhead replied to Seth7721's topic in Lounge: Off-Topic
CR says that owners rated the vehicle as unreliable. Yet, when you go out and check different reviews of the vehicle, it gets high marks. I attached a link for Edmunds review. I also found a review by Yahoo Autos, where it received high marks. Why does the Fusion get such high marks, and they can't keep them on the lots. Wouldn't they be considered unreliable according to Consumer Reports? They pretty much have the same Hybrid system and My Ford Touch. Just makes me wonder.... http://www.edmunds.com/ford/c-max-hybrid/2013/ -
Our first long trip with the update was a disappointment!
Muttonhead replied to mikekoz's topic in Fuel Mileage
Never had the update. I've been pleased with my lifetime 42.5 MPG. If I drive highway and keep the ECO cruise set at 60MPH, I've been getting 50 + MPG. Don't want to mess this up. Doesn't make sense to me to expect savings and economy at 70+ MPH. -
Thanks for your response

After getting the 13B07 upgrade, has the A/C function been just as comfortable as before? The A/C is important to me, and currently the Max cools off quickly and maintains a comfortable 73 degrees. I don't want to sacrifice that for a couple miles per gallon. Thanks for your responses.

Southern PA. Reset my lifetime mileage several weeks ago as the weather is getting warmer. I'm now doing 43 MPG, VS 38 MPG in the cold. It seems to be improving the more I'm driving. I only have 1500 miles on the car. I did take a 50 mile trip, mostly highway, and did 50.3 MPG. I may be moving to warm Florida, and there I hope I can do better.

Does Weathertech make a rear cargo liner yet? Thanks

Heard the same thing today after I parked the car and turned off the engine. What is the vacuum pump used for? Can the cooling fans for the battery be heard outside and under the car? Thanks
