  1. For the first time since August of 2014 the C-max has had an increase in sales. Sales hit 1,966 units in September, up 10.1% from last year. This may seem like quite a jump, but it comes no where close to the all time C-max high of 4,848 units in November of 2012. Sadly, as a whole the hybrid and electric car market has decreased by 17% year over year. Most of this can be linked to the continually falling gas prices. It seems Americans in particular have very short term memory. Eventually gas prices will go back up. Year to date the C-max sales hit 17,291 down 20.4% from last year. For comparison the total Prius family sales in September hit 16,110 up 12.8%. However, year to date sales hit 141,940 down 14.2%. Ford really needs to give the C-max some updates. It's lacking some of their latest technology like adaptive cruise control with collision warning, blis, and even the new surround camera. I think with some new additions and slightly reworked styling I think Ford could add some life back to the C-max sales. If all else fails, maybe the VW scandal will makes some potential buyers look into the C-max instead!
  2. You can clearly see it's not, by the signature C-max Hybrid bar where the Ford emblem is. The Grand C-max doesn't have that...
  3. I like the new design better! It looks like it will have improved aerodynamics!!! That means better fuel economy finally!
  4. I just found this pic on Ford.com!!! It doen't look like the current C-max Hybrids front grill!!! Could it be the 2015 C-max??? To find it for yourself, just click C-max hybrid on Fords website then scroll down, and it will be the second pic on the selector.
  5. Here is the official ConsumerReports release http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/news/2013/10/2013-consumer-reports-reliability-survey/index.htm
  6. I just saw a article on the internet from consumer reports, saying the C-maxes are the least reliable cars. The vehicle with the top predicted reliability score was the 2014 Subaru Forester SUV, while FordCo's C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid vehicle received the worst score, Consumer Reports said. Here is a link to read the full article http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/10/28/autos-consumerreports-idUSL1N0II0JJ20131028 If you are currently subscribed to consumer reports, like I am I'm sure your just as angry. I am terminating my consumer reports subscription immediately, for being so bias. :nonono: :gaah: I hope you feel and do the same. :rtfm:
  7. I am going to the event in Orlando. I will give a update after I go.

The company also is changing the way it tests and labels the 2013 C-MAX Hybrid for fuel economy to better match performance and improve customer satisfaction. The upgrades build on powertrain software updates Ford announced last month for the 2013 C-MAX Hybrid. The 2014 C-MAX also will benefit from several hardware changes, including: Gearing changes that result in a more efficient transmission drive ratioNew hood seal, front and rear tire deflectors, A-pillar moldings and the addition of rear lift gate deflectors to improve vehicle aerodynamicsNew engine oil with reduced frictionThe enhancements to the 2014 C-MAX Hybrid are expected to improve customers’ on-road fuel economy, especially at highway speeds.
  9. Hi everyone! I contacted the IIHS, and they said the C-max doesn't sell enough for them to test it. They did say though, "The Focus and C-max have many of the same structural components. So, you can expect the C-maxes rating to be close to that of the Focus." Then, I e-mailed them back again and asked if it would be as close to the Escape as the Focus. They responded and said " No, it is going to be closer to the Focus. Since the Escape is higher off the ground, it hits the barrier differently. So, as I said in the last message, you can expect the C-max to get a rating close to the Focus."
  10. I know they have the right to take a post down. What I was saying, is if they do take my comment down. THAT WOULD BE WRONG. I didn't use any profane language, nor do I ever.
  11. Welcome!!! I'm glad more and more C-max owners are joining this forum!
  12. You are mostly correct. He put the post up here so people can comment. I was exercising my right of free speech. By taking my comment down that would be CENSORSHIP. I did not use any profane language in my post, I never do. He had to expect to strike some nerves when he starts that kind of topic on a C-MAX LOVING SITE.
  13. You are so right. My head spins when I try to figure out why others can't understand this.
