I have to hit release button and push down on rear hatch to get it to open. Has anyone dealt with this?

Turned out to be broken shock!

I ordered proactively and will bring it to different Indy.

2013 Hybrid Energi with 120,000 miles. What is HVB? mechanic guessed the larger drive battery coming loose not the 12v. I like your suggestion of checking sway bar. Will bring it elsewhere.

I thought my shock or suspension was broken as there is a loud banging noise left rear when hitting bumps. Mechanic looked at everything under car and said suspension isn’t problem. Maybe the main battery strap broke and it’s the heavy battery banging. he could not figure out how to access the batteries. does this sound right and is it a known problem?
