What cool hidden feature have you discovered about your C-Max?
salprint replied to armoredsaint's topic in General Discussion
How about if I'm listening to the radio, and I liked a song or whatever was on, I can go back and listen to it again. -
I was driving on some backroad doing about 40-45 and this small deer came out of the woods right in front of me. I swerved and caught it with the right front bumper. Looked in my mirror and saw it kinda limping back into the woods...its probably in worse shape than my C-Max is. A small crack in the plastic on the side and its pushed up a little. No metal damage or mechanical damage. A lot of scratches and a lot of deer hair. Its probably less than my $500 deductible, but then again...with the price of things and the painting and all...it may be more.

With what you know, would you buy your C Max today (again)
salprint replied to catsailor's topic in General Discussion
Yes! I love this car. I don't have any Nav problems and everything works the way it should. The only bug I found is when it does one of its automatic updates, I have to change the phone ringer back to the one I like. It always reverts back to the first one after the update. -
Maximum amount of files that MFT can index
salprint replied to mikekoz's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Don't have that problem...all my albums play in order unless I have it on shuffle. Take a look at your device (Ipod?) and make sure it isn't on shuffle at the source. -
Where's mine????

Who says it can't be done-Post Highs here-over 25 miles traveled
salprint replied to salprint's topic in Fuel Mileage
Some good numbers...good to see. I haven't been really checking mine since the cold snap started here in the northeast. At this point I couldn't care less if I get 10 mpg, as long as I'm warm!! I'll post more when the warmer weather comes back. -
Will the CMax have navigation?
salprint replied to Alyse's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Mine does that once in a while too...but all I do is touch the screen on the road that I'm actually on, and it goes right there and fixes itself. -

Love seeing these....I knew I couldn't be the only one. I don't understand those out there that say can only get in the high 30's. I tried explaining it to a few, but they insist they shouldn't have to drive any different in order to achieve these numbers....I disagree. -

Who says it can't be done-Post Highs here-over 25 miles traveled
salprint replied to salprint's topic in Fuel Mileage
Its about the same everyday. I leave my home and have to travel about 3 miles through side streets with a lot of stop signs. Then I get on a highway with traffic lights for about 4 miles, then I'm on an expressway for about 20 miles. The expressway is clear for about 3/4 of the trip and then sometimes it slows down to about 45-50 mph. -
I do 45-50 on a regular basis

Ford Motors sued over mileage efficiency of C-MAX
salprint replied to C-MaxJaxon's topic in Fuel Mileage
I have to stop reading all this stuff....its so frustrating. I get over the 47mpg on my C-Max on a regular basis. I for one will not be part of any lawsuit if it happens. -
Do you have any Regrets in Buying the C-Max
salprint replied to NCtoCAgirlie's topic in Buying, Order and Leasing
I love my C-Max!!! -
I've always had good milage from any car I've owned....even my 2009 V-8 Mustang was giving me 22mpg and my 2012 Camaro was the same. But...after buying the C-Max, I did find myself really trying to see how many mpg's I could get out of it, so yes, it did change my driving habits. I'm not in a rush anymore....if I get stuck behind a slow moving truck....who cares....I just let it go into EV mode and cruise along. I know a lot of people complain about the milage they are getting, but I have no complaints at all. Yes...there are those trips where the traffic is just awful and there isn't any way you can do better than 39 or 40 mpg. But most of my trips to work I've actually did better than the 47mpg advertised. I've been as high as 54mpg on some trips. My overall average is at 43 and climbing, but that is without any resets since buying the car. It was at 17 when I picked it up. As I've said on other threads, I seem to do much better with the milage on my trip home, than I do going to work. I would guess that has a lot to do with the car being much colder in the morning and I'm running the heat longer, and also, here on Long Island, our winds are usually going from West to East, so my trip home I am normally going with the wind. I find it a challenge to see how well I can do. And I'm really not driving like an old man...(even though I am one) I drive at a pretty good pace, and I make sure I don't piss off anyone behind me. But overall...yes, my driving has changed a bit. By the way...my trip one way to work everyday is 30 miles...so I think thats a pretty good test.

C-Max Taxi

I've had my C-Max for a month now and I haven't seen any on the road at all. I also just got a Fusion...haven't seen any of those either. -
http://owner.ford.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Owner/Page/HomePage Good site to keep track of things...service records, etc. You can also go to the Sync website from there.

How come on the Ford owner site, when I registered my C-Max it won't show a picture of the car in "My Garage", but it does with my 2013 Fusion. The C-Max just shows a shadow of a typical sedan like car. See Below

Got mine through the Ford Partner Xplan. Was about $3000.00 less than sticker.

Got my new Fusion this week if any 1 interested...

yes Nemonick....I bought both a C-Max and a Fusion. Love them both....I look forward to driving the C-Max everyday, and I look forward to the weekend when I can drive the Fusion. Glad I could help you on the stock numbers. I should own Ford Stock....I've bought about 12 or 13 in the the last 20 years. All new. -
Pulse and Glide for Dummies like me
salprint replied to Laurel's topic in Hybrid Driving Tips & Tricks
Been averaging between 45-52 mpg on my 30 mile trip to work each day using that method. For some reason I do better on the trip home. Maybe the wind direction. -
Playing an iPod using one the USB ports
salprint replied to mikekoz's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
I have a very old Ipod and have not had any issues except that it always seems to want to play songs in alphabetical order. I can do a voice command of "Shuffle all on" and it works fine, but then the next time I drive the car it goes back to alphabetical. Not a big deal to me. If I were you, I'd do a master reset on the Ipod, reload all my music into it, and then give a try. I find the MFT to be a very good system. Before this, I had several Ford cars that had Sync, but not MFT, and they had these little glitchy issues also, but I always found a way to fix them. By the way...I also had a Chevy Camaro and their system had glitches too, and my brother has a Toyota Rav 4, and he has some glitches with his system also. -
