  1. That's the way the doors are designed to work. On every car I have owned the door locks worked that way as well. I THINK some import cars do require you to unlock the doors before they will open from the inside but not sure about that. Activating the child locks will prevent the rear doors from opening when locked as others have already posted, but only for the rear doors.
  2. Red El Camino with fake wood trim and to make it more awesome, a huge CB radio antenna. EDIT: I now realize that teens have no fashion sense at all.
  3. I had mine done a week ago and it either was not really done or done correctly. No changes in anything (EV+ or 65mph EV limit), I suspect they didn't do it at all even though the work order ticket says it was accomplished. Makes me wonder if the headliner recall I also asked for was done.
  4. Accessory/add-on/option...Daytime running lights and memory seats. Not an accessory /add-on but as said earlier...get rid of the shifter and use push buttons or go with a Prius style shifter. The center console would then be actually useful. I don't really understand the purpose of a huge shifter in the 1st place.
  5. hummm.... I have no complaints about the build quality or have I had any mechanical issues. Maybe I got lucky or maybe some of the complaints came with the build dates prior to mine (3/13). Last week I spent almost an hour checking every single area of my Maxx trying to find some defect since I was going in to the Ford shop to have the rear bumper protector installed. Nothing found. I will agree that Fords Mytouch is strangely designed, but is no worse than any other car companies (cant understand why they are ALL so bad). However...I didn't buy it for the somewhat lame Mytouch system that I knew would be less than it should be.
  6. 1996 Ford F150 with 130,000+ miles. Has had zero problems and the only maintenance has been the scheduled items as outlined in the owners manual. Looks/runs almost as good as new. Prior F150 had a similar history in its 100,000 miles. C-Max (build date 3/13) with 5800 miles has had none of the problems I have seen here. So far perfect. Well..almost...I can sometimes make the guide lines disappear from the rearview camera if I put it in reverse before the display has booted up. So....long story short. My Fords have been damn good. I cant say that about my wife's Honda Odyssey we got rid of for the C-Max, but that's another story.
  7. If you are asking about the little white engine symbol at the end of the outer Kw band, it's just to indicate that that outer band is the engine indicator. The inner blue band has a similar reminder that is noted by the EV letters to let you know that it is the electric motor indicator.
  8. Interesting... I haven't had a car in decades that didn't have the nozzles on the hood. Guess we have been driving different brands.
  9. I believe its the antenna for the GPS device that the NSA installed in all recent US automobiles. I removed mine the same day I removed my implant.
  10. My dealer dropped the price, along with 2 others to match www.truecar.com. A little over $2300 off the sticker (incl. the $750 Ford rebate)
  11. My experience is the same as lowbars. Zero problems with the nav or anything else either. I was concerned I wouldn't like the nav system, as most every "built in" system I have used in other cars was nearly useless and the user interface was awful at best. I am pleasantly surprised with how nice the Ford system is to use. I say...go for the big package.
