I'll keep away from the C-MAXER guy.
HEY!!!!

Snowstorm, what if you don't plug in your plug-in? How about if u can plug in at work vs. can't? There can be a huge difference in overall mpg's in these scenarios.......
It's a very slippery slope here.

I have a section on my daily commute where I think I might be able to replicate this. I'll try and give it a shot.

#1 HIDDEN feature, the foot operated lift gate is my :hysterical:
LMAO!!!!!!!!! :)

Temps were 54* rolling hills, some stop signs/lights, 45-55 mph.
You will be killing it once you see consistently warmer temps! Also, work on bringing that brake score up.

Two things:
The pen/tire gauge holder in the glove box.
And if you lightly press the turn signal (either direction) you get a few seconds of turn signal for a lane change and not have to worry about forgetting to turn the signal off.
Interesting find on the gauge holder. The half press of the turn signal causes it to flash 3 times for lane changes.

13.5gals x 54mpg avg=729 DTE Now subtract the 100 miles you cover and, yup, 615ish left is about right. This assumes you maintain your awesome 54mpg avg.
-
I get upper 50's on short trips and 47ish + - on my 33 mile highway commutes to and from work.(65mph)
Excellent results John; however, the point of this thread is to educate by showing through picture proof what the car really is capable of.

But what do you lose with a master reset?
First sentence says (bold emphasis is mine): "If you experience problems with SYNC® with MyFord Touch®, you can perform a master reset. This process erases all stored data, such as call history, text message information, and previously paired phones, and restores your system to factory settings.27"
Computer wise I grew up on the windows platform and I learned over and over again that it's best to wipe clean and start fresh. ;) YMMV

I'm sorry to hear your C-Max is sick. Cars with advanced engineering and multiple computers/ecu's can occasionally boot up wrong. In many cases, a restart corrects everything and the mechanics won't be able to duplicate the issue. Hopefully there should be a code(s) triggered to help them since the tool icon came on.
-
If you run into problems with the new phone, you can try a master rest and start fresh. Personally, I'd go this route.

Tried that last week.
Ditto and it didn't work for me. In fact, it was 100% two tries with this method. <shruggs>

I dropped my Ruby Red off this morning to get 5% ultra-dark from the rear passenger windows back to the hatch and state legal for front doors (35% IIRC). I wouldn't have gone 5% without a rear view camera due to vision restrictions at night while backing up. Combining that with a new windshield shade will have me prepared for the impending onslaught of summer heat! Pics coming after I pick it up. :camera:

Cat, check out the video link Jaz put up. EV+ is by default OFF so you have to turn it on for it to start working. After that and if you want to see immediate results, you can power cycle the car on/off 11+ times to get it to remember a location. Then the next time you approach that location, you'll see the blue EV indicator change to EV+.

Well I got metal shavings out on my first "early" oil change. I guess I should go add some metal shavings back to my engine oil to make sure I don't shoot myself in the foot.
Since you paraphrase my "shoot ones self in the foot" reply, maybe you might think I was referring to the first oil change but I wasn't. As I said in post #8, I like to do the first one at 1k.
No, I was referring to shortening the intervals from factory recommendations and I should further clarify: under normal conditions. Over 150,000 miles, the difference between 3k and 10k interval synthetic oil changes ($55 around here) is nearly $2,000. 50 vs 15 changes. Multiply that by hundreds of thousands, nay, millions of automobiles and you can easily see not only the massive waste but the incredible money involved.

I think your right. I'm going to power on/off more there to keep it in memory.

Coming home tonight, I had an identical ruby red pull up beside me :shift: and give me the thumbs up.

Some folks "have heard" the C-Max isn't capable of good mpg's while others only do a short test drive on a cold engine and are disappointed. So I thought I start an ongoing thread of 50+mpg trips with picture proof. The longer the better but even short trips are worthy since they are considered a major reason for poor fuel economy.

I'm a new owner who's only on a second tank of gas and currently averaging 46.4mpg. Former 2010 prius owner and avg. around 46-48mpg in it. I like the additional room, drivers seat/ride height, features, power, ride quality and power lift gate as I frequently carry a lot of equipment. The EV+ is a great feature that can really help once the car learns your routes.
50+mpg trips
in Fuel Mileage

EPA says the average trip length in the US is between 10-13 miles so that's real world data. http://www1.eere.energy.gov/vehiclesandfuels/facts/2010_fotw615.html
