I imagine we'll have to bring our cars into the dealer for this upgrade, right? Won't be able to download it online and install ourselves, right? Any indication on time frame here?

I've got an SEL with the 300 package--no nav. Is it possible for me to add a rear view camera and if so, about how costly would that be? I know there was some discussion in another thread, but I believe that person had an SE.

On my iphone, new posts is not visible. A mobile version would be nice.

We were at an Inn at the beach for 3 days and by the 3rd day, EV+ was activated near the Inn. I guess I have to move there now... :) BTW, when arriving home today, EV+ did occur here as well.

1957 Mercury with a push button transmission...my parent's car which I used occasionally and after a date, I'd put in a $1 worth of gas...3 gallons and plenty for the evening. OK, I'm showing my age...

When you start up from WITHIN the EV+ area, EV+ will not engage. I just stopped at a store about 1/3 mile from my home and upon restarting, no EV+. Same situation when you start up in your own garage or driveway...no EV+. But if you drive into the EV+ range on your way home, it works.

Near my home there's a long downhill to a stop sign. I always use the regen brake lightly on that hill since I will have to come to a complete stop in any case. Even along this about 400 yard stretch to the stop sign I am able to charge the battery quite a bit. And since this hill is only around the corner from my home, I usually need to recharge the battery anyway due to EV+ the trip before. Otherwise, I agree completely...coast as much as possible.

You know I forgot to check whether it was synthetic or not. Ugh. I also have owner advantage, so I guess I'll get something off next time...which will be 10000 miles away. Yes, maybe ICE miles are much less, but I think it's better to error on the conservative side, especially with a new car.

I had my first service at 5000 miles. Oil change, filter and tire rotation cost $47 with tax. I think that's a bit high. I also had them check two things, neither of which they were able to fix. The first was the fact that I have to slam the rear hatch to prevent the open warning light from coming on (manual, not electric hatch). They had to order a part for this one. The second item is that the switch on the side of the shifter which is supposed to engage the hill assist does not work. When I try to activate this when going downhill, nothing happens. I know there's supposed to be a light that comes on in the display, but that does not happen. Dealer sent an email to Ford for guidance on this and they said they'd fix both when the other part comes in.

OK, the compass is a poor skumorphic. When you see a display of South East for example, the South and the East are not in the proper position...they are reversed. I know the software is designed to mimic an old fashioned ball compass (thus the skumorphism), but that is not very useful. I wish Ford would redesign this gage.

I had two fill ups in a row with troubles, but the last several have been fine. I think it's the pump.

The system plays apple formatted songs just fine...like from an iPhone---same thing I do believe. The only thing is you don't get a catalogue unless you're plugged in via usb. So a flash drive should work just the same way.
