There are two (counting Sparkes) in my little town. A real estate guy has a white Hybrid with big magnetic signs advertising his business. This is historically a GM town, so you see fewer Fords anyway, and to Testdriver's point, a WAY different vehicle mix than you see in Ann Arbor! Nevertheless I am hoping more people discover this little gem of a car.

Love it, Michigan Max! I am currently awaiting the arrival of my own personalized Spectacular Peninsulas plate. How long did it take to get yours?

This may be due to an update that happened after the previous posts, but I just loaded a bunch of songs from iTunes onto a USB drive and did not need to reformat them. The card includes both songs purchased from the iTunes Store and ones I imported from CDs, and both are playing just fine. Just thought it might save someone a little time in putting together a music drive. I tested it by putting on just a few of both types and ran out to the garage to give it a try before loading up the whole thing. I do still need to work on better access to a playlist I made that is not showing up in the car as expected, but it is a folder issue I think, since the individual songs are all there and playable. Thanks for the tip on the low-profile drive, Arizona--I was wondering how long before I break the one I'm using while reaching into the compartment.

Welcome! Lots of nice people and good info here. I've been hanging around while my car was on order, and I've only had it since Friday, but I absolutely understand what you mean about being ridiculously happy with the C-Max. Where in E Tenn are you? My sister lives in Rugby.

I didn't replace the battery, either, and it worked on the first try with two different garage doors. All I did was follow the instructions, being literal about holding the remote right next to the button on the visor. (Thought that might be especially important with old batteries.)

While the flat rate may be kind of a blunt instrument, I do understand the need for all drivers to contribute to the maintenance of roads.

Thanks, ScubaDad, that makes me feel somewhat better. Sure seems like transit time from Wayne, MI to Miami would exceed that from Wayne to Traverse City, MI, but I am no logistics expert! I'm trying not to picture it being misdirected to some other dealer who has already sold it to someone else. Oh, the horror...

Congrats on finding the right C-Max! I do envy those of you who can find THE one in a reasonable time frame! Mine (Energi 303a, pano roof, Blue Candy/Stone) was built 5/2 and has not turned up at the dealer yet. They have put a trace on it, but it is going to be the longest 3-day weekend ever before I hear anything more.

I feel your pain, ScubaDad! Mine was built 5/2, had an original ETA of 5/14, and it's only 4 1/2 hours from the factory to my dealer. **sigh** I am going to learn patience if it kills me!

That's great! I'm still narrowing down possibilities, and keeping mum, since MI doesn't allow reserving vanity plates. My daughter had to go to plan B for her Fiesta when the one she had checked online was snatched at the last minute.
