Hi all, I've been lurking here for awhile now doing research before buying my first C-Max. I finally did it! Bought a 2014 last night with 121k miles on it for $7.6k. It's currently displaying the P24BE code. The dealer I bought it from didn't have enough time to diagnose the issue (I arrived within a hour after they received it from auction) so they agreed to take $400 off the price because of that. The description for this DTC code is "EVAP System Leak Detection Pump Vacuum Switching Valve Control Circuit Low." They had never seen this exact code before in the previous C-Max's they sold. I am having a lot of trouble finding any kind of information online about what this code could mean for the C-Max. I searched high and low on these forums too. I appear to be the first one asking about this specific code. Can anyone help me begin diagnosing where I should go from here? I look forward to being part of the C-Max (and hybrid) community! Thank you

Hey all, I have a 2013 CMAX Energi, about 16k miles, 8 mo old. Getting a SES light, but the DTC code list is empty. Will be taking it in for service anyway, as I got the recall letter for the "potential airbag non-deployment during a roll" thing. But I wondered if anyone has any ideas?

This today from OASIS: Jun 05 2014 5010 -2013-2014 C-MAX, MKZ Hybrid, and Fusion with 2.0L ATK or 2.5L engine – DTC P0340 or P0344 - Cam Position Sensor Some 2013-2014 C-MAX, MKZ Hybrid, and Fusion vehicles equipped with 2.0L ATK or 2.5L engines may experience a concern with the Camshaft Position Sensor resulting in DTC P0340 and/or P0344. If the Pinpoint Test results in replacing the sensor, verify the build date of the new part is on or after October 3, 2013. Older parts could result in the vehicle returning with the same DTCs. The build date is a 4 digit code located on the side of the sensor when holding it with the electrical connector at the 3:00 position. The first two digits of the build date are the day in the month (e.g., 1-31). The third digit is the month (e.g., 1-9 = Jan-Sept, O=Oct, N=Nov, D=Dec). And the last digit is the year (e.g., 3=2013, 4=2014). For example, Oct 3, 2013 = 03O3, Dec 13, 2013 = 13D3, and Jan 1, 2014 = 0114.

This from OASIS today: Some 2013-2014 C-MAX, Fusion and MKZ Hybrid/Energi vehicles may illuminate the wrench lamp (Hybrids) or the Service Engine Soon lamp (Energi) when using the engine block heater, with diagnostic trouble codes P1A18, P1A19, P0AEE or P0BCD in continuous memory of the SOBDM-C. The lamps will turn off within no more than three drive cycles after the engine block heater is unplugged. Engineering is currently investigating this condition and will be releasing an updated calibration to resolve this concern. Monitor OASIS for updates.
