Repair as required per Workshop Manual, Section 412-00 then evaluate the system for noise. Typically, no additional service will be required after performing these repairs.
  2. SSM 44606 - 2013-2014 C-MAX, Focus and 2014 Fiesta, Transit Connect - Several Radio IssuesSome 2013-2014 C-MAX, Focus and 2014 Fiesta, Transit Connect vehicles may exhibit one or more of the following concerns: AM/FM/Sirius radio display does not update when changing stations using presets or frequency selector, during CD operation the track info is blank and no information available, FM mode Autostore does not store stations in numerical order, and/or following a vehicle start-up the radio cannot be heard until the radio on/off is cycled, volume level is adjusted or the radio station is changed. To correct these conditions reprogram the Audio Control Module (ACM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 90.04 and higher. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraft.com. For warranty claiming use causal part 19C107, and use applicable 12651D labor operations in SLTS manual Section 10 for the vehicle.
  3. From OASIS, Mar. 2nd: SSM 44961 - 2011-2015 Various Vehicles - Global Positioning Satellite Module (GPSM) - Inaccurate Location Or Offset Displayed After Seasonal Tire Change Some 2011-2015 Vehicles with MFT or MLT and Navigation may display incorrect vehicle position after installing seasonal tires. These inaccuracies will correct/recalibrate over time if tires are within the recommended size. Use Owners Guide to verify proper size, load index, and speed rating. If the tires are not the correct specification for the vehicle, do not perform a repair attempt. If proper tires are installed and the concern persists refer to Work Shop Manual, Section 415-00 for diagnosis by DTC or symptom. Note: Removing GPSM power for 2 minutes will clear GPSM calibration and greatly reduce the time it takes for the system to correct/recalibrate. The system will typically recalibrate within 20 minutes of driving around 40 MPH with a clear view of the sky and a turn performed every few miles with the GPSM power restored.
  4. From OASIS, Feb. 16: SSM 44931 - Vehicle Health Report Inoperative with Aftermarket Device Plugged Into Data Link ConnectorSome 2008-2015 Ford/Mercury/Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC may exhibit a message indicating Vehicle Needs 200 Miles on it to perform a Vehicle Health Report (VHR). 15. SSM 44214 - 2013 Hybrid - CMax, Fusion, MKZ - Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) On With Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1A0C And P1A0F - Start/Stall Diagnostics Some 2013 Full Hybrid Electric Vehicles (CMax, Fusion, MKZ) may exhibit a concern of illuminating Red Triangle Warning lamp and empty High Voltage Battery bar with DTC P1A0C AND P1A0F in the SOBDMC module. When servicing a vehicle for this concern it is critical to be aware that the high voltage battery is used to crank the combustion engine for a maximum of 20 seconds at a time. Vehicles that shut down after trying to start the engine are No Start concerns, although they are commonly misdiagnosed as start, then stall events. If DTC P1A0F is set in the SOBDMC module, there are only about 10 cranking attempts left before the high voltage battery is completely discharged. Perform normal PC/ED diagnostics for a crank/no-start symptom before further attempting to start the vehicle. Note: Topic title edited by poster.
