All, I found the following video when scanning Tesla sites, there is an open source, aftermarket Autopilot that functions as Blindside Warning, Lane Keeping and Radar/Adaptive Cruise Control. I found it here: https://youtu.be/3Y67XKPmtY8 And it can be ordered here: https://comma.ai/shop/products/eon-gold-dashcam-devkit When you run the available applications there is currently no software available for our C-Maxs. YET it is open-source so if any software/hardware engineer here would like to configure one for us, we could all have C-Maxs with Radar/Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Avoidance and Lane Keeping and I believe Collision Avoidance (part of Radar Cruise Control). This has been added to many other vehicles successfully to add these features, and if my C-Max had these features I may get a 2018 and hang on to it for quite a long time. The Radar/Adaptive Cruise Control would be really nice for my long trips/commutes. Just putting it out there... Anyone interested in developing the software interface for our C-Max's???...

The stock stereo is okay in the SE -- JUST okay -- but I've been dancing around an upgrade for some time. Last night I ordered an Alpine KTP-445U amplifier and JL Audio C3 convertible component speakers. Frankly I'm nervous whether the amp will screw anything up: Has anybody found a wiring harness by Metra, etc. that plugs into our existing harness so we don't have to cut a bunch of wires? The C-max does not exist in any installer database I could find. Does our radio circuit have at least a 15 amp fuse? (I think 20 is typical for Ford but not certain in our case.) The KTP-445U is a super-efficient digital amp that can share the radio's power wire rather than requiring an amp kit, as long as this is the case. Will the car's active noise cancellation still work, or will the amp mean the out-of-phase sound is too loud and thus increases road noise instead of canceling it? Will the lady that lives in my dashboard retain a normal speaking voice, or will she shout at me? Will my car's blessed exemption from the 12volt battery problems continue, or will adding draw to the system strain it to where it malfunctions? Will cutting wires in the wiring harness to install the amp, threaten my warranty? The cost of the equipment...and installation, in the extremely likely event I leave it to a professional...is daunting enough even before all that...

Hi there, Ford has decided to dump the "Sync with My Ford Touch" deal with Microsoft and go with a QNX system in the 2016 models but it sounds like they aren't going to offer that as an upgrade install for current owners. Like a lot of people (and Ford itself, apparently) find the My Ford Touch system kind of crummy but I'm not going to go buy a whole new vehicle to get a stereo upgrade. I'm curious if anyone's been able to or even tried installing one of the aftermarket systems running Car Play or Android Auto. There are a number of manufacturers making aftermarket systems like that but so far all I've been able to find about compatibility was from Pioneer, who stated that the Cmax needed more research. Has anyone tried this? How well does it work? are steering wheel controls functional? Is there a unit that fits well in the existing MyFord Touch space?

HI from the Great White North! New to this site. I was getting tired of filling up two cars that guzzled gas, and ended up buying a 2013 C-Max SEL with 30,000Km (about 20,000 miles for the metric challenged).Love the car especially the colour (White Platinum) and interior toys. A few troubles, but nothing earth shattering. Anyway. The dilemma. I was looking for some different Rims for this beast to dress it up a bit and look somewhat unique. After weeks of research on Tire Rack, American Racing, etc. I think I've found what I really like, The Dilemma? This Wheel (BBS SR) comes in two colours - Anthracite Painted or Machined with Matte Graphite Accent. SURVEY - which do you think would look better? The Anthracite is $30 per wheel cheaper, but that's not really an issue. I'd like to see the wheels in person, but no one around here (Hamilton ON) seems to have stock. One of them even tells me they order from Tire Rack! Thanks! Hedge Here's the Link... http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/results.jsp?filterSize=17&filterFinish=All&filterBrand=BBS&filterWeight=All&autoMake=Ford&autoModel=C-MAX+Hybrid&autoYear=2013&autoModClar=SEL&sort=Brand&filterNew=All&filterSpecial=false

I just bought my new 2013 C-Max Hybrid SE yesterday. Now what can I or should I do to it? Tinted windows are high on the list. How about about those painted black molded strips? Has anyone applied those? And hacks, please please tell me there are some hacks for the screens on this car? I'm SO happy to be gotten this car, now I want to make it all mine.
