  1. I've been having an issue since I got my car in February. My iPhone 8+ will sync via bluetooth to the C-Max, but Siri is unusable. If I activate Siri it'll try listening, but won't actually hear me talking. I took my car to the dealership and got them to update the software(which was a waste of money because I could have done it myself), so I believe I should be running the latest software for my car. I see in this video the voice button should work, but it seems to only activate the nearly useless built-in Sync voice commands. I've tried holding onto the voice button for short presses, long multi-second presses and it still doesn't want to activate Siri.
  2. Hi there, Ford has decided to dump the "Sync with My Ford Touch" deal with Microsoft and go with a QNX system in the 2016 models but it sounds like they aren't going to offer that as an upgrade install for current owners. Like a lot of people (and Ford itself, apparently) find the My Ford Touch system kind of crummy but I'm not going to go buy a whole new vehicle to get a stereo upgrade. I'm curious if anyone's been able to or even tried installing one of the aftermarket systems running Car Play or Android Auto. There are a number of manufacturers making aftermarket systems like that but so far all I've been able to find about compatibility was from Pioneer, who stated that the Cmax needed more research. Has anyone tried this? How well does it work? are steering wheel controls functional? Is there a unit that fits well in the existing MyFord Touch space?
  3. This from OASIS today: May 14 2015 6469-Various SYNC Equipped Vehicles – Apple iOS 8 and or iPhone 6 Functional Issues Some customers with SYNC equipped vehicles may experience Bluetooth connectivity issues after upgrading to Apple iOS 8/8.01/8.02 or using an iPhone 6 with SYNC. This is not a SYNC hardware or software concern. Apple advised that release iOS 8.1 resolved Bluetooth connectivity issues. Please direct customers to update to Apple iOS 8.1 or later. If this doesn't resolve customer connectivity concerns, direct customer to the following Apple support URL: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht6473.
  4. I've had numerous problems with Sync connecting to my iphone 4 (version 6.1.3). Sync locks up (but works with other features) and won't connect to the phone one time and then the next time it will recognize the phone. Had the computer rebooted and updated software several times at the dealership. Recent problem is playing music from the iphone via bluetooth. It starts out fine, then "pauses" on the MFT screen, but continues to play on the iphone. I hit "play" on the MFT screen and it picks up the song where it is on the iphone, but constantly drops the bluetooth signal. The dealership wanted me to update to version 7 claiming to be a phone software issue, but I only have a 8gb on the phone and Verizon does not recommend updating to v7 for my phone. The iphone plays music great, so I honestly doubt that it is the problem. Haven't tried connecting via the USB, but several in this forum are recommending against that. I think the problem is with the MFT's bluetooth software. Any suggestions? I have about 2gb of music on my phone.
