  1. My 2014 C-MAX PHEV has stopped transmitting full power to the wheels. When I press the gas pedal to the floor, the engine roars, the electric motor turns, and the car barely moves. (It takes 14.7 seconds to reach 100 km/h.) A full inspection led to the conclusion that the clutch of the HF35 gearbox has most likely worn out. I would like to know if you have encountered this problem and how to solve it.
  2. I am getting a whine out of the tranny, mostly in EV mode that seems to be getting louder. I am at 122,000 miles. I spoke to dealer, if I replace tranny at some point, it is $7,000. I found this used tranny, but the vendor says it won’t fit: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F312556789027 It is from a 2017 which I thought would fit and work in my 2013? I don’t know that I will even need a tranny, just weighing options. Funny, this vehicle has basically zero value ($1,500 offered on a trade in). It has been one of the best cars I’ve ever owned, but have to face the problem of this tranny possibly going out. Any help or pointers to tell me if I can put in a later model HF35 into my 2013 SEL Hybrid is appreciated. Thanks
  3. Right on schedule :( my 2013 needs to have the transmission replaced. Dealership says they can't do it until next week but they told me it's OK to drive for now. Should I get a rental anyway? I live 30 mi. out from work, don't want to get stranded in this heat. Ford should have done a recall and replaced them! BTW, I have an extended warranty, best thing I ever did. I've already had to have my backup camera replaced after it developed a short, and now this. Sucks because I love Miss Pearl and was thinking of getting a used 2018 in a couple of years, but now I'm not sure I want another one. I'm getting 45 mpg with 188 hp, can't really find that anywhere else!
