  1. Now getting the "Check Fuel Filler Inlet" warning every time I turn on the car. Filled up and its still there. The manual says to check it, so I did. Looked OK for all I could tell. The manual then says that: "the message may not reset immediately. It may take several driving cycles for the message to turn off. A driving cycle consists of an engine start-up (after four or more hours with the engine off) followed by city/highway driving. Continuing to drive with the message on may cause the service engine soon lamp to turn on as well." Does anyone know: How many is "several" Definition of "city/highway" driving Can the "service engine soon" situation degenerate into a forced shutdown of the car Is there any way to "force" a system test that would immediately remove the message if the filler is now OK?Any help is appreciated.
  2. I have been away from the forum for a couple of weeks. The week of New Year's I was sick with bronchitis. The week after that, I had to go to Florida to help move my parents who had sold their house. I got back on Friday the 11th. Well, Saturday the 12th proved to be a beautiful and VERY warm day for January. It got to 69* here in the middle of Indiana in the middle of January. Those days don't go un-appreciated. So in my travels during that day, the WORST I averaged in mpg was 56!!!! I had no HVAC on and I had my window down. I had 1400 miles on the car and initially I was thinking that the break in period made a huge difference. No, it was the weather because the next day we were back in the 30's and have been in the 20-30* range all week and my mileage has gone back down. It's still not terrible but this week there are a couple of days that they are predicting below zero temps over night and highs in the teens during the day. I will be looking forward to spring even more now!
  3. For anyone who is a MPG feind like we are there is an app that uses Fuelly. Its called GasTracker and you can use it to track all your C-Max's MPGs https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/gastracker-+/id590291820?ls=1&mt=8
