WheNRG
My daughter drives my old 2014 Energi. She got stranded the other night because the battery was dead. Was able to get it jumped and drive it home and replace the battery (Tip, if you need to jump your car make sure you open the hatch before you shut it off. You can not open it with a dead battery and replacing the battery from inside is a major PITA). Once I got the new battery in the left and high mounted brake lights remain on, which I'm sure is the reason the battery died to begin with. They stayed on all night so I left it on the trickle charger to not kill another battery, but can't get them to turn off. After doing some digging I saw a relationship with lights staying on and cruise control and sure enough my cruise doesn't work. The little icon will come on when I turn it on but as soon as I set a speed it flicks green then goes back to gray. This other post referenced some switch that needs to be replaced but didn't say what switch. I ran a scan guage and no codes came up at all. Any help on this? C-MaxA2
You could try identifying the breaker for the cruise control and the brake lights and pull the breaker(s) to see if it resets things. Somewhere on this site Plus3golfer put the breaker schematic so that might help. I may have saved it somewhere but I'd have to look. Sometimes pulling a breaker resets things.
