The answer I could not find is if can you use the sync 2 screen (same size) with the Sync 3 APMI? or do you have to use the Sync 3 screen? The old Sync 2 screen not only has a different connection type and resolution but also a different touch screen that is not compatible. TankII Posted April 8, 2022 Report Share Posted April 8, 2022 There is a company that sells the upgrade kit, as a full, tested pull from wrecks and guaranteed compatibility. That being said, it is nearly $2000 for the upgrade kit. I had looked into it myself, but then stumbled across a very nice 2017 Energi with SYNC3. I gave my 2015 Energi to my daughter. I gave my 2015 Energi to my daughter. $2000 is insanely overkill. Even 4dTech costs less with their kits and they're generally considered expensive. Most people these days sell full plug and play and reprogrammed kits for around $500-$700 depending whether you get factory nav or not.
