cr08 Posted February 4, 2022 Report Share Posted February 4, 2022 So I know this has come up previously in the past but sadly I can no longer find that information and am second guessing what I had thought was discussed. Long story short I am curious if anyone else has a Moonroof equipped C-Max and has roof rails/racks for hauling stuff? Any noted issues with the two co-existing? It was my understanding previously that due to possible structural issues, the extra weight of the rack and any added cargo up top could cause damage to the moonroof. I'm just wanting to see about any confirmation on this if possible. Right now I have a 2" hitch and a hitch mounted cargo box but on the last trip with it, it did tend to drag a bit and I am seriously considering migrating to something roof mounted for better load balancing (considering I have an Energi, feels like having the larger battery plus a load hanging off the hitch is a bit much on the back axle). I'm potentially looking at making an extended road trip some time this Summer/Fall and would like to sort this stuff out. Thanks guys!
