kc1174
Anyone else experience a lot of rattling from their dash, center console and the overhead light fittings? They've got progressively worse and am only at 900 miles. If I push down on the plastic above the MFT screen, that rattle goes away and if I push up on the light, that goes away. Makes my nice looking car sound cheap, but at the same time I'm not too keen on the idea of the Ford dealer ripping it all apart to fix it. As an FYI, the two plastic pieces in the rear above and behind the rear seats are both popped out (where the grills are to allow battery heat out), so it's going in tomorrow to fix that. May just have been thrown together badly.

C-MaxJaxon
Mine has the intermittent rattle above the touch screen. I have been waiting for some other reason(s) to take the car in to the dealer to get it fixed.
hmatthews102
No rattles in mine at 3700 miles. If a car is going to rattle, our roads in SE Michigan will cause them quickly. Adair
wamba2000
kc - no rattles on mine at 1500 miles. Did have rattel type noice from the rear, it was the rotor on right rear wheel, bolts had been cross-threaded at factory. Dealer fixed and it is quiet. valkraider
Our luggage compartment cover rattles a little, but that's it. Unless we leave a rear seat-belt buckle against a hard surface when we put the seat up or down... Oh, and cans in the cup holders. ;)
Jus-A-CMax
No rattles here, 8080 miles. Tight and solid. OP, take your car in.

jlin540
I had a rattle under dashboard and dealer fixed it. It was wires not tied down and hitting sidewall. Small issue but big psychological impact.
shaners
The only rattle in ours is when the rear seatbelts slip out of their guides on the top of the seats. erwhitham
Hatchman
No rattles, yet, seems pretty tight and quiet. Since I-64 has a speed bumps and potholes all in it, may develop some rattles.
Tom
No rattles at 1,000 miles -- I'm happy to report. Take your rattles back to your dealer!
Tree63
Rattles from sunglasses and loose stuff in glove compartment sometimes - car itself remains solid after 8000+ km/5000+miles. Edited March 12, 2013 by Tree63

thunderbird97
Not a rattle, but mine has an intermittent squeak coming from around the ambient lighting / sunglasses holder area. If I push up on the headliner it goes away. The sound occurs even when the glasses holder is empty. I'm debating how brave I want to be and see if I can pop that entire plastic section out and check for something loose.
mdkoeck
I have an annoying squeak/rattle in both my front doors. I can replicate it by pressing on the door panels, but I cannot stop it. It started about 6000 and I have 9500 miles now. Suppose I'll have to take it to the garage. Nonetheless, I love the C-Max Hybrid enough that we went out and bought a second one for the household yesterday.
LizM
I have just found a rattle and I haven't discovered yet where it's coming from. I was on the phone on Sync the other day, and the person on the other end said it sounded like a mixer and she wondered where I was. When I speed up, it stops, but it sounds like it's coming from somewhere on the passenger side.
MacGyver
I have an annoying squeak/rattle in both my front doors. I can replicate it by pressing on the door panels, but I cannot stop it. Nonetheless, I love the C-Max Hybrid enough that we went out and bought a second one for the household yesterday. yeah, mine too, sounds like the doors are moving enough to make the rubber weatherstripping move and squeak, or it could be those plastic panels at the rearward end of the side window, it sounds like those when I go to close the doors, that cheapo squeeeak they make causes me to wonder who at ford signed off on that crap. One of the reasons I didn't buy the buick hybrid is because of the door handles- they were so loose that when you pulled them out, they would wiggle LOOSELY off center 20-30 DEGREES (or more, I put 20-30 because any more might seem like exaggeration). I had the feel of something made quick in china. That would have bugged me for YEARS every time I opened the door, the FIRST thing you do, and those shiny black plastic deals on the door are the same for me. It's not a big deal function-wise, but psychologically, every time I touch one and it FLEXES and makes the car sound like it was snapped together from plastic parts, it bugs me.
