sadlerjon
Hello all, Our 2013 CMax has been in the shop twice for the same issue. The first time was in 2020 and the more recent time was last month. The first time, we accepted the problem, but the second time less than 3 years later, this causes us to wonder if our CMax is really reliable. This second time was traced to the TCU draining the battery and the dealer recommended putting the CMax on a "Battery Tender". I see there are mentions of '2013 dead battery mystery plague' and wonder what our step forward should be. My wife is ready to trade in our CMax but I am wondering is there a way to disable/remove the TCU? We really like having a PHEV... - sadlerjon
homestead
Ford should have done this... https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/SB-10093862-2532.pdf There were also reports of 2013 SE with wiring problems when driving through water. I think there was a tsb for that as well.
