grggwlkr
Is anyone else experiencing a delay, sometimes several seconds, before the blue EV graph displays? The MPG display will raise to 60+ and then wait for it, wait for it, then the blue EV appears. When the car was new, not that it's old (3400 miles), the display was nearly instantaneous. I wonder if something is about to go out.
C-MAXER
One possibility is it that it's YOU that are improving. By that, I mean you are getting better at driving economically and are now feathering in the throttle instead of mashing it. When the instant mpg goes to 60+ but registers no EV power usage, you are coasting (regen) or better yet gliding (zero power use nor any regen either). Next time when you notice this, look at the battery display and see if there are no UP or DOWN arrows. Most likely you'll have a DOWN arrow (regen) or, momentarily, no arrows (glide). I've seen this a lot, especially going downhill above at speeds above 70 as the car cannot be propelled in EV mode at that speed, so the engine won't turn off. kyledamron1
roninsd
I think I know what you're talking about, grgg. I've been noticing it more. I think, I'm under 60, no ICE noise, where's the blue. But, like JohnTrigger, I've gotten use to it, and it isn't that frequent.
