C-Maxgo Posted May 14, 2013 Report Share Posted May 14, 2013 Today I am so proud of our Canadian astronaut Commander Chris Hadfield who has returned safely from six months in space. Crank up your volume and listen to him sing Space Oddity from the space capsule. It brought tears of pride to me. It made me tear up and gave me chills too. He is something else! allyoop Posted December 31, 2013 Report Share Posted December 31, 2013 We caught a concert by Keola Beamer in Phoenix (of all places) last spring. Great slack key playing and singing. The venue, the Musical Instrument Museum, is a must-see for anybody who digs music--especially ethnic stuff. My favorite musical voyage is to plug in my 8gb thumb drive, which packs everything from Bill Monroe to Dub Syndicate to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (thanks to my music-mad former college roommate), set it on random and let it rip.
