Rmayo
2013 C-Max 70,000 miles. The past several months we have been getting a raspy/whiney sound, almost a grinding sound. Seems like it's in the front end, but may be under car. It happens whether the engine is on or on battery. I happens whether we are under load or just coasting. It worse around 40-50mph and pretty much clears up at 60+. I assumed it was tire/wheel related, but I had tires rotated and it didn't make a difference. It doesn't feel like the car is going to fall apart or explode, but it is annoying. I tried getting the Ford service people on a quick road test, but they won't even look at you unless you plan to leave the car there for 2-3 days before they get to it. Any thoughts? jestevens
One time I had a leaf stuck in the lower grill and it made a really weird, concerning noise. One time I thought it was a wheel bearing ended up being bad tire. Another post on here had the TSB instructions for diagnosing HF35 replacement including very particular info about when the transmission makes noise and when it doesn't.
