Parking sensor location front?

Recommended Posts

2013 C-Max SEL. Car has begun to alarm the front parking sensor [solid beep] when coming to or stopped when driving in the rain. Suspect sensors may need replacing & am unsure where they are located in front & how hard they will be to replace. Do I have to remove front bumper cover or more to replace? If is above my limit I'll just live with it, can't afford the 5 days or $500 it will take dealer to fix. THANKS for the read & any advice given.

They are the six small circular inserts in the bumper assembly. They are located on each side of the front license plate, below the fog lights, and on the wheel arch just above and behind the fog light.
In the rear there are three. One in the center of the bumper below the hatch and one on each side at about the edge of the hatch.

Hi @nogoodbum - my car just started doing the same! Just wonder if you were able to resolve the issue and how? Thank you!

After looking into the cost to replace sensors [$40 to $50 each], i just decided to grin & bear it. Old toothbrush didn't help as one has been in my car wash & wax toolkit for years. Rate of happening did seem to reduce when I switched my daily drive from a 2-lane road to a 4-lane bypass due to school bus traffic.
