Adair
I seriously wonder who I would talk to about my car if it weren't for you guys. I can brag, b!t_h, moan, and ask questions til the cows come home, and there is always someone here with an answer....or at least a shoulder. I think to our spouses and friends, SOME of us may seem obsessed?!?@ When we were adopting our first daughter, we were in, for us, uncharted waters. We were directed to an adoption parents support group, who had all been down the road before us. Their counsel and support got us thru those anxious months waiting for our daughter to arrive. Had it not been for them..........well, let's just say we were grateful to find them, and still call many of them friends. We couldn't wait to return the gift to other prospective adoptive parents. Now I have ****adopted**** a car.......not just any car..........a car that is a computer on wheels with technology that smokes the competition and has taught me a newer, better way to drive. I have learned so much from all of you who went before me, and it is my sincere hope to be able to help some of those who start down this path after me. I love being able to cheer on new accomplishments! Thank ALL of you! Riddley, ScubaDadMiami, zhackwyatt and 4 others
Jus-A-CMax
Thank you for being so POSITIVE, it really changes the tone of the whole board. Yes, we all have our issues and part of the reason we're here is because of issues but there is alwaysa Ying and Yang, flipside of a coin whatever you want to label it --- that we learn and see positive achievements with the CMax. It is a very unique car I have to say, bends a ton of rules and exceeds barriers no one tought possible and we're still breaking them as we roll along...or should I say :shift: along. :) ps is an alien in a Prii in a snow storm going to show up in this thread... :runaway:
Adair
Jus, we don't say the **S** word now. Aliens, however are ok.
pnwAl
I agree, I have been in the shopping process for the last month, looking at the C-Max, Chevy Volt and Prius V. We had the opportunity to rent the C-Max SEL from the dealer and take it for a long weekend. 500 miles later, we were sold on the C-Max, hands down. Then I hit the forum and started reading about issues with the battery, Nav and Sync. It is concerning to me but I work in the software industry and I know the pros and cons of software: first, there's never been a perfect piece of software created, second, software can always be improved over time and updated in existing products. The fact that you accurately represented this as a computer on wheels to me is its saving grace. There will be a constant improvement process, not without its bugs and false fixes, but they can make it better as long as they keep at it. Ford has a lot to gain and a lot to one if they can create a true competitor to the Prius and that will keep them invested in the cycle of improvement. Forums like this are really monitored by Ford, and Toyota and others, I guarantee it. Keep this community thriving and we all benefit! Thanks to all for your FANatical community. catsailor
I ordered my car sight unseen, but then again I have owned 5 Fords and have trust that my dealer will fix it sooner or later. I was SOLD on the car once I SAT IN IT, see I am a road warrior and seating eronomics are paramount so I needed to sit taller and more comfortably that a small compact would sit including the Focus which was too low for my tastes. My last car was a Ford Edge with ZERO issues but then again I opted out of that first gen syn :) Great car and really great mileage.....averaging over 47 mpg on my last three tanks now. armoredsaint
Are you going to prison for a while, hence the farewell address? ;)
Adair
Are you going to prison for a while, hence the farewell address? ;) :confused:No, I just really wanted to say that. We don't always tell people how much we appreciate them, so I'm *paying it forward*. :wub2: Even tho I don't really *know* any of you, we still share a common bond in our desire to learn as much as we can about our cars. LizM
I, also, really appreciate this forum and all of the input. I don't post a whole lot...but I do read this everyday. Thanks, Jus and Adair for taking on the Admin job. I still love my C-Max, 5300+ miles and 4 months of ownership. :wub2: Adair
roninsd
What I like most about this forum is that people are honest, when there are negative aspects, but balanced as well, highlighting the positives. As I told the Ford people at the Irvine get together, even with the problems experienced, most people love this car. And the people here are just so darn nice! :) ScubaDadMiami and Adair
