Bill-N
I'm now the owner of MFT 3.5.1. (FYI, I do NOT have Navigation.) First the good news: Outside air temp is now displayed at the top of the MFT screen where it can be seen. I now have the cute power flow graphic. Will have to wait to see about: SYNC "unable to locate vehicle". Clock accuracy. Unable to turn off radio after vehicle is shut off. Radio turns on (not back on) after completion of incoming phone call. Rear view camera error message (I don't have a rear view camera). What isn't fixed and I guess never will be: Unable to set clock via GPS. (I don't expect it to update across time zones or for Daylight Savings Time.) And finally, (drum roll please) what's worse: GPS "Where am I" location went from some 10 miles inaccurate to well over 100 miles off! I'm now in Massachusetts! And now, a quick 3.5.1 FYI; the outside temperature initially showed 60 degrees F (it was 90+ in reality). Apparently, the display has to recalibrate itself. Wish I knew that before making a hasty U-turn to return to the dealer. Anyway, it only took a mile or two to fix. (One wonders to what does it calibrate.) plus 3 golfer
I entered the MFT diagnostic mode as suggested by ceemax71 to check the coordinates of the GPSM: Turn the audio system on and set it to AM or FM modePress and hold the eject button. Then within one second, press the "Seek up" button and hold for about 5 seconds.Navigate to the GPS coordinates screen. The coordinates displayed in this screen are spot on (elevation is still of by over 100 feet but that can somewhat be expected). This validates what Ford says about the Where am I display not being updated and the GPSM is not the problem. So, either Ford needs to correct this by updating the Where am I screen with the correct coordinates or like the current C-Max Owner's Manual says leave the coordinates field blank in Where am I. So now on Monday I will call Ford CS and register my complaint. If those with MFT without Nav can also inform Ford of their displeasure with this and demand that it be fixed as it can be a safety issue, maybe we can get Ford on the next rev of MFT to display the correct coordinates as stated in the older MFT manual. My experience, too. Very strange that "Where am I" is so far off (over 100 miles in my case).
