blacter
I'd like to be able to connect my Nexus 4 Android phone via USB and have access to all its music and podcasts. Seems pretty straightforward, but I can't get it to work properly. I get a message on the MFT screen that says "indexing" and then a message that says "loading," but never get to a point where I can actually listen to anything. Have any of you had better luck? Am I doing something wrong?
MikeB
If your song names have special characters, sometimes MFT can't complete the indexing process. There's also reports of problems if you have a USB stick with too many songs in the same directory. Haven't heard of any issues with a Nexus 4 or with Android in general. salsaguy
does it let you hook up your phone to the usb cable and use your phone as a USB drive? i thought you could only stream your phone through Bluetooth.i would think an intermediate app would be required to allow this.i know a usb thumb drive by itself will work but not a whole phone. I brought another cable down to the car, in case that was the issue, but I haven't gotten around to trying it. I have my Synch Specialist Training scheduled for July. I delayed this, on purpose, so that I can know the basics very well before going for the training. That way, I can concentrate on topics like this. Noah Harbinger
they offer training on the synch system when you buy the car? I believe Ford requires the dealers to offer it.
