Jus-A-CMax
OK, here is something a little bit different. We all know about the 600+ CMax club and the goal of the Club is to break the 600 miles and go further and further and further than all your fellow brothers and sisters - all good :) However, lets try something different here than riding pure MILES...lets see how high can you get your MPG but with a minimum of 500 miles? Why this club and why 500 miles minimum? Answer - It eliminates the short downhills where we all get 100+ MPGs and its long enough to chew up 3/4 - full tank of gas for some...but not long enough to worry those owners who fear running out of gas. I am hoping this will increase participation and improve your FE driving doing this. So....its not about how long you can drive but how efficient you can drive the 500 miles. Now before you all jump on me and ask me for the "Time" - I thought about this and the way the timer works in the Trip 1 & 2 truly sucks. Its on as soon as the engine is on and will tick away when you sit in the car and not moving, working in the car or waiting in the car for a client to arrive (ala Matt and me) or you're chatting with your neighbor 4 yards from your driveway...you know the story. So if someone wants to go at 15mph and clock up the 500 miles that way - good for them...or if you are lucky to find a 500 mile downhill run....good for you - but lets see 'em....no "Oh I caught a :airquote: big one and it just so happen to have got away"....you know the deal. PS No past photos, all achievements on or post 7.19.2013 will only be accepted. Lets GAME it fellow brothers and sisters of this awesome CMax Forum! :victory: HIGHEST MPG HONOR ROLL 61.7 MPG HPRifleman (using 8.50 gallons 525.2 miles) member since 11/18/2015 58.9 MPG fotomoto (using 8.94 gallons 527.6 miles) member since 07/20/2013 57.7 MPG FrBill (Using 9.11 gallons, 526.4/331.5 EV Miles) 12,792.7 total miles, member since 8.17.13 :victory: 54.5 MPG HPRifleman (using 9.21 gallons 502.8/341.5 EV miles), 6,001total miles, member since 10/13/13 54.0 MPG snitGTS (using 12.38 gallons 668.8/462.3 EV miles), 3,973.5 total miles, member since 08/05/13 53.2 MPG CoolMax (Using 12.57 gallons, 671.2/432.231.9/423.8 EV miles) 3,867.3 total miles, member since 07/28/13 51.9 MPG cgul (using 9.63 gallons 500.0/335.8 EV miles) 10,569.8 total miles, member since 07/23/13 51.7 MPG ptjones (using 12.90 gallons 668.1/425.4 EV miles) 33,067.9 total miles, member since 09/01/13 51.1 MPG gummizilla (553.7/317 EV miles) using 10.82 gallons) 1192.7 total miles, member since 08/08/13 50.7 MPG HannahWCU (508.5/283.6 EV miles) using 10.01 gallons) 18,129.7,931 total miles, member since 09/20/13 50.2 MPG 11StiLimited (542.5/397.2 EV miles) using 10.78 gallons) 3,931 total miles, member since 09/05/13 50.0 MPG ScubaDadMiami (using 10.11 gallons 506.1/362.2EV miles) 2,382.6 total miles, member since 08/11/13 49.2 MPG PTJones (using 12.86 gallons, 632 miles/363 EV miles) 31,798 miles, member since 8.15.13 49.0 MPG DaveWitham (using 10.2 gallons 500.1/252.7 EV miles) 19,098.3 total miles, member since 7/28/13 49.0 MPG SnowStorm (using 10.25 gallons 502.7/195.5 EV miles) 8,670.4 total miles, member since 7/22/13 48.5 MPG Danut (using 12.81 gallons 622.7/375.4 EV miles) 2,964 total miles, member since 9/11/13 :worship: 48.0 MPG Adair (using 12.13 gallons 582.4 miles can't read EV) 9,908.5 total miles 1st female member since 07/20/2013 :victory: 47.9 MPG CMaxGo (using 11.19 gallons 536.9 miles 137.6EV), 9,100.4 total miles, member since 08/04/2013 47.5 MPG CMax-Traveller (using 10.83 gallons 514.8/265.6 EV), 2,077.1 total miles, member since 08/09/13 47.4 MPG LizM (using 11.07 gallons 525.8 miles 325.5.5EV), 11,857.6 total miles, member since 08/28/2013 47 MPG GaryM (using 11.74 gallons 552.4/176.3 EV), 4,791.4 total miles, member since 08/11/13 46.1 MPG moytoyx (using 11.40 gallons 525.7/29.7 EV miles) 2,213.1 total miles, member since 7/28/13 45.9 MPG mtb (538.4 miles/259.3 EV miles) 15,645.9 total miles, member since 08/05/2013 45.8 MPG sambomojo(using 11.72 gallons 536.9 miles) 2,969.0 total miles member since 07/21/2013 45.8 MPG tehuti (Using 11.64 gallons 533.2 miles) member since 9.27.13 45.3 MPG Michigan Max (563.7/308.2 EV miles) 5,753.8 total miles, member since 08/19/2013 45.1 MPG Msmith (500.2/242.9 EV Miles) 11,624.8 total miles, member since 10.7.13 45.0 MPG SpyBurn (using 11.57 gallons 520.8 miles 255.6EV), 2,862.3 total miles, member since 09/05/2013 45.1 MPG MichaelM (536.1/223.9EV using 11.86 gallons) 23,799.9 total miles, member since 08/07/2013 44.0 MPG gyveri (Using 11.53 gallons 507.9 miles/ 206.4 EV miles) 3875.7 total miles, member since 9.27.13 36.4 MPG xanotos (503.2/328.1 EV miles) 1,780.6 total miles member since 07/26/2013 Edited November 18, 2015 by Jus-A-CMax JAZ, hybridbear, slampro and 1 other

If there are 100 poster who want to participate - go for it. Yes, current tank will work....otherwise I and others can pull some old photos (aka my 833.8) and go HERE! So nah, lets start afresh... Adair
Oh, I'm sure someone will smash that number, but it gets the ball rolling, and the timing was right, :waiting: so thanks JUS!! fotomoto
If you'll take my #10 entry in fuelly as evidence, I'll set the low bar standard: 868.6 miles on 22.54 gals equals 38.5mpg. Average over two tanks since my wife didn't do a reset filling up the car for the first time (panicked when she saw no gas cap). :noobie: Edited July 21, 2013 by fotomoto

Fun new challenge with our cars! :skateboard: Thats't the idea - more participation and no risk of running out of gas....but this does elevate the 600+ Mile Club to a higher status because its so much more difficulat to do, as you realized. Who knows maybe someone will hit high MPGs here and SCORE into the 600+ CMax Club as well....after all, 3.5.1 and the upcoming update should see a nice increase in the MPGs and where once everyone was scared at 570miles, they may be sitting more pretty with more gas at the next 570 miles ;) If you'll take my #10 entry in fuelly as evidence, I'll set the low bar standard: 868.6 miles on 22.54 gals equals 38.5mpg. Average over two tanks since my wife didn't do a reset filling up the car for the first time (panicked when she saw no gas cap). :noobie: :judge: .....Nope :finger: can't accept retro or old achievements, gotta be FRESH AS A BREEZE.....Post #1 :rtfm: Edited July 21, 2013 by Jus-A-CMax hybridbear

salsaguy
so this will be basically everyone's BEST mpg on their fuelly.com chart after the start date of this challenge and will rank everyone here in the cmax club regardless of mpg just so that everyone gets to be on >A< challenge list with their PR/ PB (personal best) in the cmax. the list will include everyone who posts a pix as proof. This was not a fill up....This was 519 miles......I was driving and couldn't get exactly the 500 picture. Jus, if it's supposed to be by fill up, I'll take my name off. The rules says give us your best MPG with 500 miles minimum. Now whether you do not tank up, tank up once or 100 times between the 0 miles to 500 miles, its up to you. Yeah, you need a picture as proof but you and fotomote are good but pics next time. The rules here are far less stringent than the 600+ because its all about your MPG number but you must show you did 500+ to get that number. So your 519 is good Adair, its stands. SnowStorm
Lucky me, just did another trip this past weekend without knowing about this topic! So here's my entry. Conditions were: - A true "return to same point" (gas station) loop - 87 E0 - Essentially all highway (about 70% 55 mph, 20% 65 mph, 10% 60 mph) - Just me and maybe 50 pounds of stuff - Light AC (300 watts on climate graph) a majority of the time - Heavy rain for 20 miles or so but that was offset by slower speed"Yes Virginia", there is a "47 MPG Car"! cgul
Jus I was about 85 miles from 500 when you started this and have just made it to 500. How did I get home exactly on 500? I was at 499.9 so I passed my house and turned around in a neighbor's driveway and was right when I pulled in my garage.
