Hydrogen Energy Cells

I was adding my last mileage info into Fuelly and there was this banner at the top for Hydrogen Energy Cells. Is this a load of bull or is it maybe something that would help me get better mileage up here in Canada with all the hilly highway driving I do. I am interested in what some of you that might know more about these things have to say. The website is below.

Cheers,

Bruce

This is a scam. They take electricity out of your battery, use that to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, and then push the hydrogen back into your fuel system to burn with the gasoline. As long as the laws of thermodynamics are not repealed, there's no way this can work.

Myth Busters, to name one, has tested this device/theory and found it to be bogus, but how about the "Pods" for your roof recently discussed on this forum?  Why Ford isn't putting these on the 2014 C-Max along with all the other MPG tweaks is a mystery.  Probably bought off by the same group that suppressed the 100-mpg carburetor!  http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/2340-installed-gaspods-on-liftgate/?hl=pods&do=findComment&comment=23362

They also tested a device that supposedly produces sufficient hydrogen to power a car by hydrolysis (running an electric current through water to split its molecules into hydrogen and oxygen). Although some hydrogen was produced, the amount was minuscule compared to the quantity necessary to run a car for even a few seconds.
