Where's the best feed-thru point for wires?

I need to run a wire from anywhere inside the Driver/passenger area to the front of the car for a supplemental braking system. Are there any existing feed thru points that I could get a wire through? Under driver pedal area or under seat ?

I watched while installers ran the wire for my permanently mounted cell phone charger, located on the center console area.  They fed the wire through the center console (starting by feeding under the edge that runs down by the floor), through the fire wall, and then they connected to the fuse panel that is located under the hood.  Looked pretty quick and easy.

It was very easy,

I drilled a pilot hole from under the car. It looked good from inside so I followed with the big bit.

 

FYI Both power points on the console go to sleep after a few minutes .

I run a 12V extension cord from the power point in the hatch, it's always hot.

I couldn't really see. I was just observing from a waiting room, watching through a glass window.

You were a big help. That link to the Blue Ox page was just what I was looking for. I'm trying to get our Cmax set up for our trip to FL in Oct. I'm doing the same setup but with a Brake Buddy system.

Thanks also for the tip about the 12v sockets going dead after a few minutes as well. We replaced our old RV with a new Phaeton and bought a Sel with the panoramic roof as our new toad. Our Cmax is red otherwise I could use your profile thumbnail as mine too. :)

Congrats on your Phaeton (#1 on our diesel wish list) and cmax.

I think the cmax will become a very popular toad when the word gets out about how easy the setup and operation is. No fuses to pull etc.

Are you doing a DIY for the baseplate or having it installed?

I installed a Blue Ox because it looked a little easer than the Roadmaster, smaller holes and less cutting.

I would probably still be working on it if it wasn’t for the Roadmaster instructions from etrailer.

After the install and reading the above thread I realized the cutting was all plastic and the size of the holes didn’t matter….oh well the Blue Ox is fine.
