sdaustin6483
Has anyone found out what the "new oil" is going to be as a result of the fuel efficiency relabeling on the 2013 C-Max? obob
fotomoto
My guess is it's what my Prius used and what I'm running now in my CMax: 0w-20 full synthetic.
Jus-A-CMax
hey fotomoto....does this mean new oil filters as well with this new oil? (sorry not been following all this talk about the new oil).
wamba2000
I believe the only oils on the market that have a 0W-20 configuration are full synthetics or blends, I know I have used Mobil 1 and saw a Royal Purple user in another thread with that viscosity. I read on a thread that manufacturers are now branding oil for their make in this viscosity too ( Subaru, Toyota to name a couple.) Here is a thread form Cars.com that talks about it.http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2013/08/expensive-oil-changes-are-here-to-stay.html obob
obob
It would be nice if Ford would officially give its blessings to 0w-20 so we could use it with worrying about warrantee issues. wab and JAZ
