RMS13
Has anyone found out how to program a third FOB?
fbov
Manual says you can have 8 keyhead transmitters and tells you how to program them, but... It's mum on how may fobs (e.g. intelligent access) you can have, besides stating that the dealer needs to program them. Have fun,Frank
PWBarrett
Assuming you mean for Intelligent Access (i.e. pushbutton start): I went through this when we first got our C-Max.I found several writeups of procedures to try, but none of them worked.Turns out you have to take it to the dealer (then hope they know what they're doing.)At the time, my dealer spent almost 5 hours and still couldn't get it done, but I've heard people say that their dealer did. checkerj
My experience has been that having the dealership program an extra key should be pretty straight forward. http://fordcmaxenergiforum.com/topic/1852-replacing-intelligent-access-key/page-2? It cost me $80 to program an extra key that I bought used on eBay for $35. It only took an hour to program the extra key, provided I brought all other keys to the dealership. Hopefully this helps.
