mtb9153
Was wondering if any body knew how to remove the Ford Blue Oval grille? I was trying to get mine off. Have it all loose from other panels it connects to using those black plastic snap pin connectors. But there are several plastic tabs along the bottom which hold the grille to the front bumper cover. For the life of me I can't figure out how they disconnect. I was attempting to push on the center one with a flat blade screwdriver (what else?) when I slipped and gouged a long deep scratch into the front bumper cover which I wrote about in another thread about a supplier of touch-up paint pens. Just curious if anyone had any knowledge on this removal?
wab
It's easy you only need a screwdriver. The pictures in the link have more info, take a look at pg. 3. This is from etrailer.com, I used the PDF getting ready to tow. Remove four plastic fasteners attaching the radiator cover tothe upper grille (Fig.C).2. Pull back the upper grille to locate four clips attaching the upper grille to the fascia (Fig.D — driver's side). Here's the link to the PDF.http://www.etrailer.com/instructions.aspx?pn=524432-1 Edited October 13, 2013 by wab
